For Halloween last year, my friend was Wednesday Addams and I was Joel Glicker from Addams Family Values. She wore this very Wednesday-esque dress, straightened and braided her hair, paled her face, and wore these kick-ass shoes. I wore a plaid shirt, shorts, old shoes, my glasses, and carried around A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. We spent the day saying lines from the movie and acting like our characters.

To this day she calls me “mon cher” and I call her “cara mia”.
