I have chosen a triangle shape for my installation to create more vulnerability and closeness in my installation. The triangle makes the work less spacious, which I hope creates more anxiety.

This afternoon I hope to order the boards and discuss with Jessie about the practical side of my project realisation. Hopefully Jessie can help me decide on the layout of my installation as well as giving me the thumbs up on the sounds element.

This morning I completed my sounds to go with my installation; I'm really happy with the end product as lots of people have said it made them feel uncomfortable which were my aims. I have also managed to complete some more annotations that I was behind with.

I just had a very helpful discussion with the technicians about my project realisation. I wanted 3 mdf boards. But we have come to the conclusion that we can order in 3 boards to screw onto the mdf that I will paint on due to them wanting to keep the mdf white. Also instead of having a free form triangular shape, a better idea is to have 2 boards standing against the wall incase wheelchair users would like to experience the installation. The boards will be attached by hinges, giving people the freedom to make the entry gap bigger. I will be considering these factors during the course of the morning.

Today I aim to have my formative assessment with Chloe and to try and pin some more direction down, afterwards I would like to possibly add some context to my work surrounding emotions.

This afternoon I hope to project the acetate that I painted on this morning. As a follow up from the projection that I did last week using acetate that I had painted red. I also want to present this in my sketch book aswell as review my bibliography and make sure it is up to date.

FMP This morning I have reviewed and presented the work I made from the Henry Moore foundation visit. I also did some more artist research from books I’ve borrowed from Danique (Gogh) and also my grandparents (Hughes) both relate to colour and I’m think about the use and meaning to each artist.

FMP- Today I was inspired by art, inspired by nature. The garden space at the Henry Moore Foundation was amazing, the space and layout of the work was so much fun to explore. the main themes of his work were WW1 and WW2 and I found that these were portrayed by the comfort between a mother and child resembling the home sickness and terrors of war where soldiers would crave a mother figure to comfort them. I added bands of colour from tissue paper to the landscape and sculpture to add a pop of colour contrasting with the serene gardens.

Today I printed many collagraph my prints which came out successfully, and projected some colour on to my eczema. I've have a very productive afternoon and I now feel a lot more confident about where my project is heading.

This afternoon I will be printing my collagraph plate, if the results come out well I will probably copy them onto acetate and experiment with those.

This morning the group critique was very interesting and helpful I had feed back from 5 different people and some great ideas about how to incorporate colour into my project realisation. This morning I set out to ask people about how they were feeling and using tissue paper somehow project or put the corresponding colour onto their face. I came across issues with the tissue paper colour not being concentrated enough so I had to spend the rest of the session time painting onto acetate with PVA and ink. So hopefully I will be able to project these colours and acetate onto people possibly today or Friday. Although I did plan to print my collograph plate in this afternoons session. I also need to organise my bibliography.

After a one to one with Peer and a one to one with Jessie yesterday, I have decided to change my project title to emotion and colour. I felt as if I needed to narrow the title emotion down. I am starting to think about different objects and what emotion and colour people associate this with. I need to carry out a little more research on colour, emotion and artists.

Did I meet my targets for today? I feel as though I didn't meet my targets for today. Although I did get some practical work done, I projected some tissue paper samples I created yesterday; and experimented with the focus and complimentary colours by adding some blue oil pastels to the orange and yellow sample. I managed to print some pictures of work I made over Easter and my visit to the white cube.
