Huge Chop Socky Chooks fan!

(This account and most of my projects are mainly for adult who used to watch the sources at the time. It's NOT recommended for minors). Hi! I like to draw and write things related to... well, things I like? I like creating songs as well. I hope to keep up with manga projects for the future and I aim to be also a 2D animator. Working mainly with Chop Socky Chooks Fanfictions, but I like other old Cartoon Network classics! Good Ol' days! Here with main updates and randomness xD.

Hey long time! (Over and over and over... You guys could've been used to this, but sketches and drawings take a lot of time for me to do). I don't know if I told you, but I wanted to make a reference of the characters long time ago. For now, it's just a concept, since I'm unsure of Chickadee's "usual clothing" I was in the middle of "some hip-hop kind of clothing" or "more feminine clothing", why? Chick P is mostly a Tomgirl type of character, who has some masculine and feminine traits, so it's kinda difficult to make a balance (Idk why, but I think she could be better with bell pants sometimes.

I made my effort into mixing her body type with more realistic views for more details. The main designs (by Danny Capozzi) were always with a lot of style, however, the characters were easy to "adapt" (not redesign, as you see), due to basic shapes being put here. I went to the most loyal design as possible, but put some effort from my personal style to give the feel of a new season 2 or fresh reboot from 202- . More characters to see in more reference sheets. I made her makeup soft and also added a "hen tail" since it's confirmed she has "tail feathers", so it can be a good idea to show what the characters really are and avoid confusions. Anyway, the freckles! She had freckles when she was little, so consider the biggest image as her without makeup, which is something I'll draw often when she needs some casual clothing.

Are One and Deadeye the same person?

I started to talk to a friend about whether Oni was the one hating the Chop Socky Chooks or was her alter ego, Deadeye. What we saw on the episode "If Looks Could Kill", we saw One and Deadeye having practically the same purpose. I personally think that Oni and Deadeye are the same person, but my friend say they aren't. "I can't controll It, and neither can you" was the last phrase Oni said to Chickadee before going, possibly implying that Oni doesn't have control over Deadeye or even her own powers; but what do you think? Are they different or is she the same person? If so, is Oni evil? What could've been after this episode?

Tell me if you like this format better than just screenshots. I was in a good mood and this work might form part of a Speedpaint process too, so I decided to present some advances. What do you guys, think?

None of the characters are nude. I just wanted to post the process while I'm at the moment of adding some clothing to each one of them. I remembered the Chop Socky Whoops episode, and I thought about a remake that I had in my mind. What If Chickadee had the same "killer instinct" but in a more mature setting? I imagined her using weapons or resources to end Wasabi's life. I also thought about her identity being totally a secret, so I put her a mask that she'll be using for a while before the group being totally officialized.

The mask is just a traditional chinese opera mask that has some resemblance to Son Wukong and I looked for new references to chinese combat attire at the time. I wanted to add a modern style to make a combination with the time of the show's more futuristic essence, with the addition of a hood and sports shoes. I thought that at the time she didn't use her fans, and I was right! So I guess she could've used metallic long chicken claws coming out of the tip of her hands and built from her wrist to blind her enemies violently, for climbing or defense. 

I also wanted to add more black or golden patterns to Joe's clothing to stop making it "simplified". He looked with the same clothing, but gold, as well as Chick P, so I decided to add patterns in the future when the lineart is set in place. Chuckie was a little bit easier, but still, I think he needs some fixing, because he surely will give me some problems when it comes to casual clothing. For now, this is the process. I wanted to share it now because, well, sometimes I think the sketches look better than the final product sometimes. It was made on Krita, and finished on Paint Tool SAI 2. I don't know If I will make the lineart and colors on Krita. It still feels a little bit slower, but it must be the stabilizer for sure. Sometimes I try to adjust it, and it slowly goes to both extremes and doesn't seem as soft as SAI when it comes to the brushes, but that's just me and I really want to learn how to use that software, especially because it is free and looks very professional and has tons of interesting settings. 

Remember the episode "Chop Socky Whoops"? I made a remake reference when Chickadee still had her "Killer instinct" a little longer before the group started to be officialized. I remembered when she literally tried to get Wasabi out of the World, literally. And That episode was one of the better ones when it comes to the actual potential that the show had, honestly, so I could avoid drawing them together in a photo-like posing. So, it's March 7th, another aniversary for the 2007-2009 series #ChopSockyChooks This series has been my special interest when I was a child and now back in 2021. Watching again felt totally different: wacky scenes, questionable stuff and the characters acted a bit different from what I expected. It seemed that it was part of growing up and realizing that shows like this were imperfect from the start. However, I saw many opportunities, many dialogues, like Wasabi literally going against anyone who stepped on his way to be an emperor of the Mall, and I thought "Man! I wanted to see how that happened!" The interalized vengeful attitude of Chick P made me think of more sides of a hero; same with Joe's frustration with the citizens. All that sounded like a very intriguin story I wanted to know everything about, and the idea of an "Chop Socky Chooks Ultimate" or "Takashina, Rise Up!" started to go through not only my mind, but the minds of other fans as well. I thought that, with more accuracy, sensibility and better writing, the show could've been a great one! The music was dope, and the characters as adults instead of orphans going around exploring the world without their parents for no reason was really interesting! I wish the show could've gotten a second season for improvement and implementation of great opportunities it had. I made a list of drawings that could exemplify my ideas into what the show could've been about. Exploring the deeps of Wasabi World before, developing families and characters, what's outside? More allies? New friends? How Siren Sun became so famous. Do people really eat chickens (man, that was disturbing for a kid's show now that I think about it), those ideas were interesting to be developed in a more mature audience, with moments like this being perfect since the people who grew up with the show being adults. I really hope making the list of drawings I have in mind for this. In the second drawing, I've been practicing Chick P for so long that I'm surprised she finally came out better and exactly like I wanted her to look like. Joe and Chuckie were easy, but not her. Not at all! So, I hope you like it, and till the next time! Good ol' Cartoon Days, huh?

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus announced for Fall 2026.

Limited series "remaking" the first arc of Dragon Ball Super. Interesting, as some shots are new, but some appear to be taken directly from the Super Blu-Ray release.

Another thing to note:

Apparently Toriyama explicitly asked for this, as he felt the arc deviated too much from his draft. The changes are meant to bring it more in line with his original vision. As such, no idea if this will be done for all arcs.

Name: Shōgai Hyōga (生涯氷河).

Meaning: The lifetime glacier.

Age: 26

Role: Murderess.

Background:

Hyōga was adopted later in life, growing up in an orphanage, leaving her to be mostly isolated and dealing with early depression when she was seven. She wanted to have a more active life and tried to help many times with everything that was needed, even other kids, in order for her to not feel alone in the inside. She created a positive shield and attitude later on, which led her to be adopted. Unfortunately, they didn't want to deal with her after an incident that involved the whole orphanage being burned to ashes due to her powers activating for the first time after a joke made against her by her friends by turning the lights off on the bathroom when they didn't know she was scared of dark on the very day of going with her parents. At the time it happened, they had already adopted her, and even tried to kill her because of the fear of being burned or dealing with a monster.

Two years later, she was reported missing by the police, but they never managed to find her. During that period of time, she embraced how she was part of something she never understood. She felt like a defect, a mistake. A "Monster", but she managed to finally get close to the darkness that once scared her. With internal resentment towards humanity, she became a hero assassin, forming part of the Coalition of Assassins.

She makes a heavy debut by fighting against King and having a more difficult fight than the one on the main event. She became the first of a few who could potentially defeat him.

Skills: She can use two nail puller-like weapons use against her enemies to kill them instantly, and during her arc, she's known to know Muai Tai, Jeet Kune Do and doing great with obstacle derriation coming from Judo.

Powers: Hyōga is half-monster, half-human. Her real parents were a human woman and another man who permanently became a monster and formed part of the Monster Assossiation, so she has more than one element she can manifest her powers and body into. Due to trauma, she only uses water, so most of her life as having another element besides fire and water were totally unknown for her. Naturally, she can manifest psychokinetic powers related to different elements she touches and create new ones on their different states. Her nickname "Aqua", made sense when her only element she knows to manage and use is water.
