i think thats not even true like. after the direct i was curious and checked the tag and it was just empty for like 2 people saying like "oh damn no raiders?" and thats it. like every direct you'd see 100 people crying about tomodachi life (affectionate i was one of those people i'm so happy it's on the switch 1 so i can pirate it) but like. nobody really said anything
when my bf had my blog he reblogged one of his own posts about it but to add i feel like raiders is gonna be another disappointment.
The opening with the cutscene of them going to the islands that looked pretty finished and important. but again, Side Order had all the story right at the beginning and it was a lot of nothing after that.
as for the actual like gameplay section of the trailer it's the mechanic just. walking around and swimming in ink. What's the game about? hey look at these cool outfits for deep cut! What's any game mechanics or like any information at all? here's a cute robot who we literally only see again just Walk Around.
my guess is. they don't have anything. and just like side order they revealed it way too early just to strum up more hype when most of the playerbase was gone and sales dropped. Side Order was delayed numerous times likely just because they didnt plan accordingly, or they just didn't have a plan, and I assume it's the same thing here.

While DK Bananza was pretty good, the DLC was not worth it at all
Pokemon revealing paid DLC for a game that's not even out yet and locking mega evolutions of the starters behind subscription paid online ranked battles
Not a Metroid fan but from nearly everyone i've heard, the new Prime 4 trailer is extremely rough and killed a lot of the hype of it (looked fine to me idfk)
Same studio as splatoon 3, AC:NH was so much less than the rest of the series even when the updates finished.
Rereleasing literally the worst console they made, didnt even have the fucking gall to release the total fourteen games for the virtual boy on launch. they're drip feeding the fucking virtual boy. and it's required a 30 dollar headset with no confirmation that the existing Labo VR headset works. buy more fucking cardboard fuck you.
Not really about the quality of the games or whatever but the super mario galaxy book doesn't have the new pages from the rerelease. You want this really cool collectible item from a game you loved in your childhood? it's not the full experience. buy the game again for 40 dollars. Dont mind that literally like a year ago we fully remastered Metroid Prime and sold it for only 20 fuck you.
As i'm writing this post I realize, splatoon's hype isn't dying out, i think it's nintendo as a whole. Even places like reddit where they're all about "waow Nintendo is the best company in gaming rn" like. no they hate all this shit going on too.
Nintendo makes overpriced garbage and i think more and more people are just giving up on them
