The Qi clan are very prominent figures in art spaces, especially in classical fine arts.

Rafayel’s maternal line are mostly involved in figure skating which is where he got his start on the ice. much like xavier, he followed his parent’s footsteps with a direct career path laid out before him.

Thomas is still his manager. He fully took over after Raf called it quits and fired his mom. Besides his aunt, he’s the only other adult in his life who cares about his wellbeing.

because of his career, rafayel is used to handling fame. he enjoys the attention and would banter with paparazzi as part of his brand persona. his first long-term partner was a journalist.

Raf is messy. relationship messy.

Rafayel’s a brooding artist in a sense that he hides all his doubts and fears in a pretty nonchalant image (which is why he’s so comfortable with the cameras) he dislikes it when someone tries to get a read of him

when it’s off season, he accompanies his aunt to charity events and enrolls in art classes (so he “isn’t like that Philos boy” according to Thalia. None of them knows xavier goes to sci-fi cons in his free time)

the Sirens are the og rivals of the Hares until they started to lose their edge. A lot of their good players transferred to teams with better management and pay.
