--for lurkers who didnt see my post on WGS: I'm the person who wrote the original document (Alison) and I just found out about this post after a person in-game messaged me saying "thank you" for sharing it here. I have to say: it was a liiittle awkward, considering I'm not the person who posted it here nor was I even consulted about the edits made to share itâBut, I do appreciate the intent behind that and I'm super thankful to everyone who's been spreading word around.
I do want to make a few clarifications, though.
1 - The names mentioned and the screenshots that I shared in the original document, which are now blocked out in this version, were each used with permission from the players they involved; I wouldnât have included them otherwise.
2 - Weâre not the only people whoâve been harassed by this person, as demonstrated by the set of screenshots at the bottom of page 2. Iâve gotten a lot of really kind and supportive messages from others and thatâs been a little overwhelming at times, but Iâve also gotten messages from other women who were harassed by Jean Lannesâ player (and men who heâs lashed out at because he wanted to do ERP with their female characters); thereâs someone who heâs fucked with for two years on WoW, Twitter, and FF14 (although the GMs there are apparently better at dealing with bad actors?) because of how they refused to RP with him.
My genuine belief is that this guy has been harassing people for YEARS and thatâs why I included his guild history on Page 10. Some of those names, as longtime players on our server can confirm, were active in like 2010 and heâs deeply invested into his time on this game; validating that is clearly important to him, which is why (as Iâve been learning) he uses his mass-invite guild to surround himself with people that arenât aware of his behavior until after they âget on his bad sideâ and are turned into scapegoats / removed.
3 - Jean Lannesâ player has been trying to dodge these things by spinning a gross narrative about Thaddeus (the person they called a bunch of slurs), saying that heâs an ex-member of their mass-invite guild and that he was removed for âtrying to groom an underaged minor.â This is a blatant lie and easily refuted by the dozens upon dozens of people who know that Thaddeus hasnât been in a guild other than with his friends since Summer 2020, when he stopped being an officer in The First Regiment.
On page 7 and 8, there was supposed to be a log of my conversation with Jean Lannes on his level 3 alt where he was caught lying about who he associated with, how he associated with those people, and digging himself further and further into that hole; those chatlogs were important to emphasize that he isnât afraid to just make shit up straight to your face. He lied about being friends / in daily contact with Ismond and Maxen; itâs not hard to anyone who knows those names to message them for a confirmation check.
This guy is a compulsive liar and nobody should be taking anything he says at face-value, especially when heâs trying to discredit a person calling out his vile, unhinged behavior.
4 - Some other things Iâve been told are: (A) he made his guild after being pushed out from several Goldshire communities, because he was using his characters Shadiir and Shyriff to organize âgroup ERPâ sessions and harassing women there, and (B) that heâs had several accounts and one of them is a âsockpuppetâ where he pretends to be an australian woman with pictures of a random person and her baby; Iâm pretty sure the latter-name is Traceyh, who - in a separate chat log Iâve seen - is a âguild officerâ propagating the lie in Point 3.
5 - This document has gotten way, way, WAY out of my own circle and I appreciate everyone sharing it. Iâve gotten a lot of kind messages from complete strangers and itâs been a little overwhelming for my anxiety but Iâm really glad to know that the information is spreading in a way that can support and protect others from this unhinged creep and whatever toxic environments heâs a part of.
