i just want to take a moment to say that i love each & every one of you so , so much. whether we’ve never spoken , only spoken a bit , or i speak to you daily — you’re all very important to me. you’re amazing , valid , beautiful souls & i know that times are tough right now , but you will get through this. we all will. to touch on what @suprnovas / swami has pointed out , this website needs positivity & love more than it ever has. this place is an escape & it has never been more of an escape than it is now.
we should use that to show each other the one thing that will always remain in world , should we choose not to forget it. — kindness. take care of yourself , of course. self – care & self – love is very important. but if you have a spare moment & feel good enough , extend that love & care to your mutuals. here’s some ideas.
ask them how their day is — without obligation to talk about the current situation around the world. remember this is still an escape & safe space.
send them a heartfelt message on or off anon — tell them something you enjoy about them or why you love having them on your dash.
send cute & silly memes that are filled to the brim with positivity — there’s tons out there & i have a board on pinterest you can take from if you’d like. i’m constantly adding to it. some are memes & some are just nice positive messages. sometimes these have the power to say what we can’t quite articulate & who in this age doesn’t love memes ?
encourage them to take care of themselves — let them know they come first. that you don’t expect them to drop irl responsibilities to write on a silly website like it’s their occupation.
express how grateful you are to have them as not only a writing partner , but a friend — sometimes we forget there are real humans behind these screens that deserve to be shown they’re worth far more than just a ship or writing.
most importantly , i suggest that we not completely live in denial & ignore that what we’re all going through is real , but instead help one another get through it. because you will. but no one gets through anything ( at least comfortably ) without a supportive hand to hold. let’s do that for one another. let’s help each other in the easiest way possible : showing kindness.
