Commitment
Now we all find it hard to commit to moves on a climb just as we find it hard to commit to anything in our lives. “What if it goes wrong? What will happen? What will I do?”. Adam Ondra said something along the lines of nobody has yet reached their full potential in climbing. Not through a lack of physical ability, although this may have a little to do with it, but rather that noone has yet 100% committed mentally, on. Once we do this we will see even more amazing things.
In the photo above, you can see Duncan committing to a big, blind dyno on Systems Malfunction. It took him a few goes, and a few angry words were heard but he stuck the move in the end and finished the route.
P.s. I am off to the alps for a week, in a week to film and shoot some photos. One of our aims is the Eiger! Any suggestions?
