He’s been at the new command about six weeks now. Everything was fine the first couple weeks; normal training, normal expectations, normal “figure it out” energy. Then they assigned him a mentor.

She’s thorough. Extremely thorough. Shows up early, stays late, and has this calm way of explaining things that somehow always ends with him bent over something. The first time she called it “maintenance” he thought she was joking. She wasn’t.

Student Health Services

She arrived exactly on time. Most of them do, once they understand the rules.

I had her stand in the center of the room and remove the gown herself. There is a particular stillness that settles over a student the first time they realize the examination will be conducted fully nude. The body becomes very aware of itself. Breathing changes. Shoulders drop or tighten depending on temperament.

I made no comment on the visible arousal. I never do at the beginning. Observation is more useful than reaction.

When I finally placed the gloves on and began the physical portion of the exam, she was already trembling slightly under my hands. Not from cold. From the simple fact of being handled with professional detachment while her body responded anyway.

I noted the response clinically.

Healthy.

Responsive.

Eager in ways she has not yet learned to name.

Some students require months of careful escalation. Others arrive already half-undone and simply need structure around the undoing.

She is the latter.

I gave her my number before she left. She will use it.
