I feel like I just inhaled espresso I need to explain why the ending of s2 was the perfect encapsulation of the entire concept and why anyone who thought it would go any other way is a fool . It is a Tragedy Guys you can't cut yourself off from your pain you can't sever a part of yourself from you it will REBEL you will always crave a life of fullness and love and whatever you were given you SHOULD fight for it & it is DEHUMANIZING to be expected not to. watching severance is crazy. what if a show had multiple coherent plotlines and also asked questions about what it means to be a person through a truly unique lens that inspires new ethical and philosophical discussions in 2025 when so many of those conversations have been had a million times already. what if personhood and love are inseparable and it is impossible for humans to not form community. how much of you is your memories/how does nature vs nurture come into play in a vacuum? what if that vacuum popped? what if a part of you wanted to go to heaven so you created a new version of yourself? who would you be without the pressures of the outside world?
