Ants are a fun way to look at cosmic horror, because they make complex decisions plus the whole eusocial thing, but most ants weight 1-5 milligrams, is the thing, and the human brain at a couple pounds or so is like without exaggeration a million times heavier than a whole ant. Imagine just... a brain, a whole brain that's a Boeing 747. But if you step back further, human lungs and circulatory system are so alien to most small arthropods. Pushing blood around in tubes would sound demented. Communicating by sound predominantly without pheremones, it would be cacaphonously loud to an ant, our scents would seem like babbling madness. The whole relatively isolated condition of human life must seem like the void is staring back, a being completely unable to see or comprehend the sights and language of insects that holds the power to destroy them all effortlessly. The vastness and total blankness of humanity to the insect is a cosmic horror to me.

Coming back to this space... I need some space of my own.

Lots have changed in the 2 years i didnt upload. Even then I had come back from another hiatus. Its been so long that I havent been on a platform outside insta and fb and the toxicity is absolutely atrocious.

I had to get jaw surgery because tmj shattered, splintered and grinded my joints and surrounding bones to nothing. I am now completely 🤖 from my temples til just about my chin. it was a wild ride in '23

Then after recovering I immediately got pregnant which is amazing, my partner and I have been together almost 2 decades and that hadn't been the case y'know

I was really sick while pregnant so I did almost nothing but grow my awesome kid

I had my beautiful baby on Jan 2nd of last year. Smoothest delivery, great care and awesome kiddo. Im the happiest and most excited for a future I never planned for but kind of wanted. Just didnt think it could happen having PCOS and other issues.

It should be all awesome, cept we are living in a hellscape.

So yeah- hi Tumblr. Whats it like here in 2026 lol
