I hereby lodge a formal protest. Please do not brush this off with official rhetoric; please record this directly and escalate it to higher authorities.

The sudden removal of a character that had already been announced constitutes false advertising, breach of trust, and a violation of the consumer contract. Players invested time, emotion, and money in preparation based on the official preview; unilaterally removing the character is a serious violation of consumer rights, and we reserve the right to pursue all legal remedies.

This does nothing to improve the current public perception; it will only cement the label of “untrustworthy” even more firmly. Not only will it fail to recover revenue, but it will also make it clear to all observers that your company can arbitrarily renege on its promises.

Our demands are clear and non-negotiable:

First, Ao Yin must be released immediately as the official male lead, with all previously announced promotional materials, card artwork, storylines, and companion events—not a single one omitted;

Second, the official team of *Love & Deep Space* must issue a formal, public, and sincere apology to all players who love Ao Yin.

Please provide a substantive response to the above two points.

A cn player contacted me on RedNote sharing some interesting stuff with me. Please be aware that the following information, while in my eyes credible, is, of course, to be met with the same scepticism that everything online should be met with. Please note that I used Google translate, as I am not fluent in Chinese.

Translation: Sister, the situation has changed. We've learned that many players who dislike Valko seem to be uniting with certain male groups to launch a premeditated smear campaign against Papergames. Their actions go far beyond simply removing Valko; they aim to bring down Papergames. They're plotting their scheme through live streams on public platforms. If their voices are allowed to grow, Valko might not return so easily. Therefore, I suggest you pass this message on to girls overseas who like Valko. We must continue to amplify our public opinion and seize the high ground. Please continue to promote Papergames' efforts in exporting Chinese culture overseas so the public can hear our voices. Since ancient times, good has never triumphed over evil (translation note: I think it means good has never lost against evil); we will surely win! Valko awaits our arrival!

Translation: Furthermore, we suspect this isn't just a conflict between players; perhaps other commercial competitors are also involved. Therefore, we must work even harder for Valko's return!

Translation: The video shows several people conspiring to smear Papergames, the game's developer. First, a man suggests focusing on Papergames' political stance, labeling the company as anti-political. Then, a woman proposes to completely destroy the company. They maintain that Chinese players who like Valko are paid trolls hired by the game company and plan to spread rumors that the company pays for such trolls. They also suggest that 1 AM Beijing time is the best time to post attacks and smear the company on various platforms, because that's when the other Chinese girls are asleep.

Translation: Sister, I need to clarify that in all my summaries, I've consistently labeled their actions as spreading rumors because they are indeed engaging in legally permissible acts of spreading rumors. Even if some of them are unaware of this, or even believe they are doing something righteous, I find this extremely perplexing and frustrating.

Translation: I suggest we continue to expand discussions that benefit the game. The Chinese government is currently preparing to crack down on this kind of smearing of companies; they will pay the price.

Valko is getting SO much love at AX2026! Here's a video posted to X.

CN fans are getting some interesting responses to their messages to Infold. They aren't copy-and-paste anymore—they're responding with emojis? Post here.

A lot of people on X seem to be having similar dreams about Valko coming back. It's obvious not concrete evidence or anything, but a woman's intuition is no joke!

Players have noticed the lily of the valley painting in the desk decorating. It's been there since the beginning. FYI—Valko's flower is the lily of the valley.

We're still trending on X! 6 days straight! And we've reached over 2.5 million posts.

It's easier to track the popularity on X, but there are 10k posts on Instagram under #bringvalko back, and #bringbackvalko is a trending search on TikTok.

In 1937, it marks the date that Chinese troops clashed outside Beijing, triggering the Second Sino-Japanese War and the full-scale Japanese invasion of China.

As of 12:00PM CDT—not a lot to report, but no news is better than bad news.

DO NOT—I REPEAT, DO NOT—engage with CN antis on RedNote or Weibo. They are trying to shift the narrative and say that our protest is based on sinophobia. If they succeed, it could lead to the removal of the global server. Protest with KINDNESS and RESPECT.

Ignore all kinds of negative rumors unless someone has specifically asked to help disprove them. Some insane rumors are starting to surface. FOCUS ON THE PROTEST!

HOWEVER! Infold's legal department and the local police are investigating trolls and those who spread misinformation about the game and Valko.

If my calculations are correct, we are nearing (or have already surpassed) 2 million posts on X in support of #bringvalkoback

I cannot fully confirm this, but according to CN sources, Infold is down to 1/4th of the revenue they were gaining when KoD released

Russian fans have also started donating to a wolf shelter called Wolf's Hall

Vendors at AX2026 who are selling Valko merch are doing very well! Even people who don't play LADS are buying his items.

The Valko memorial outside of AX2026 continues to grow!

It seems LADS is not doing ANYTHING on social media except observing. Their pinned posts are still for the multibanner that ended on July 2nd. They haven't even changed it to the GoA rerun.

Allegedly, the online harassment wasn't just caused by haters and internet crazies, competitors may have been involved with the intent of sabotaging PG/Infold. (NGL I kinda suspected this as well)

Not naming any names but I can only think of one direct competitor at the moment...

The fact that we broke their mail box brings me so much joy and perhaps a whif of hope. If a loud minority throwing a hissy fit was enough to get them to pull Valko then a majority so loud that it's crashing their ratings, over flowing their mail boxes and clogging up comment sections will definitely do something.

It will probably take a while for any tangible, reputable information to come out you got anime expo, and a line of holidays within a week, as well as whatever internal shenanigans are going on within infold. I expect we will get information on either the 8th or 9th, or it could potentially take longer or shorter, I'm not a psychic, and I don't really exist on other social media sites outside of Tumblr, thus my knowledge is extremely limited, so don't take any of my guesses as fact.

I can't say whether or not Valko will come back, but I do know that something will happen, something will be said. This has become too big for infold to to ignore. They will have to say something regardless of whether or not it's something we want to hear.

Until then, keep fighting. Don't log in, or do and just not spend money. Keep posting one star reviews, keep sighing petitions, keep making calls, keep sending emails, keep making meme and stories and artwork. Set up a fucking funeral shrine at events. And most importantly take care of yourselves and hold on to whatever little bits of hope you can find.

In 48 short hours we have accomplished so much more. Before I list out accomplishments I want to explain why this is so huge. Across states, countries, continents, and language barriers we have done amazing things. In 48 hours.

We mobilize multiple petitions that have hundreds of thousands of signatures

Many global fans joined Rednote and XHS to better coordinate with the CN fans and have another place to communicate our frustrations to Infold
