Time notification for LADS girlies It is almost the 9th in China. So as of this post or whenever you see this post, IT'S LADS BLACKOUT TIME. So, no interacting with anything related to LADS or Infold for at least 24 hours. No logins, no posts, no nothing. Since this is a blackout, take the day off and reset yourselves. Really, I think we can all use the mental break. Awareness of CN misinformation and why you should not trust everything you see on Chinese platforms

Now, I know for a fact there is plenty of misinformation going around in both the global and the Chinese community. But I wanted to point out the Chinese community specifically, not because I want to target them, but because a lot of global players assume that if something is written in Chinese about Love and Deepspace, it automatically makes it correct and factual. Not only this, but I have noticed that a lot of Chinese misinformation and lies seem to be providing fake ‘evidence’ to urge people to believe them.

Before I start - I know I have also said a couple times “I have heard from my CN moots” however I always ensure to clarify that they are theories, and they may not exactly be true. It’s just a conversation that I have had with my friends and I have shared here to share our thoughts. Again, nothing is set in stone, we don’t know anything unless confirmed by Infold themselves. Making theories is not a problem at all, so long as you don’t fabricate them as facts that have been proven. This post is to spread awareness about people who are claiming to have found solid proof and facts with malicious intent or for popularity.

The aim of these misinformation posts, and why they are in fact working on the community.

Impersonation: We know that there are bound to still be antis/haters against Valko’s release. They will do anything and everything to ensure that our voices do not get out, and Valko does not become a main love interest. They have weaponised our trust in one another, and they are utilising fake information to not only lead the fandom astray, but also turn everyone against each other, unsure of what to do and becoming chaotic and unorganised.

For example, I will show you two different posts from the same account on X. This person is from the Chinese fanbase, and in the post on the left, they claim that Infold new all along about the smear campaigns and the media, as well as the reactions of local players towards Valko. They present a ‘document’ from Infold’s hiring process claiming that Infold asks their potential employees what they would do in the scenario where a character is made for Western audiences, and has a bad impact on the local community. However, let me point out that this is fake. First off, a company would never expose themselves in a hiring process, they would not risk the information getting out. Second, majority of the local fanbase (Chinese fanbase) love Valko, and do not think he is controversial. Thirdly, Infold does not aim their characters at a specific audience, let alone the Western audiences, because we know for a fact they treasure their Chinese fanbase and would try to ensure that all their characters are appealing to as many people as possible.

And now for the fourth reason. Take a look at the post on the right; it is the same account, and you can clearly see it is a hate post aimed at Valko, whilst praising Silent Whisper’s character, Theron. This proves you must always check the full account before consuming information! Anyone can fabricate false information just to push the community into a frenzy. The aim of this person was to divide the Valko supporters, so make sure you don’t believe any posts that show so called ‘evidence’ to push you to trust them.

Can I just say where is all this obsession coming from that Valko has a Western look? Like - I’m Asian myself and Valko looks like a pure Asian to me? You do realise that Asians also have short hair and a broader jaw/chin, right? Not only this but what do you mean ‘fat wolf’? It makes me laugh that just because he has more masculine features people are so quick to body shame and act like it’s a ‘beauty preference’.

So please, be mindful of what you are deciding to believe, and who you are consuming information from. Always check the accounts and make sure to ask others what they think of the information if you are really unsure. Don’t make assumptions and don’t believe people blindly just because they claim to know everything because they are Chinese and just happen to have ‘evidence’ that no one else knows about or has seen. There are also individuals claiming to be Infold employees. Don’t believe it. Infold employees won’t waste their time coming onto X of all places and confessing unrealistic things or saying ‘I got fired’.

Let’s all take a deep breath and realise that social media is indeed dangerous. We can be influenced quickly, and we might not even realise it. Let’s all just wait until Infold themselves post something. Like I said before, it’s okay to share theories, and make conspiracies, however you must clarify that’s simply what it is, and it is not the truth. Please be safe and don’t let these posts consume you.

Twitter is absolutely full of conflicting information on what people think would be best going forwards R.E. the Valko situation. At this point, I don't think anyone should get their hopes up over getting him back, there's too much we (the players) don't know about the situation to make any definite conclusions at the moment, BUT that doesn't mean we should do nothing. I am no expert, but here are my personal two cents on the matter based on everything I've read:

The most important thing we can do is not shut up about Valko. That means trying to keep his hastags trending on whatever social media you use and, whenever Infold do resume communication on their socials, leaving comments that mention Valko on every post they make. Let's make it clear we're not going to just forget about him.

Limit your spending in the app, especially for the next month. I know people are talking about boycotting the app entirely, and if you can comfortably do that, great. However, even if you're still logging on, as long as we lower their average revenue per player, this is still something that will catch their attention. To be honest, if you're planning to pull for Rafayel's fourth myth when it drops, and I don't blame anyone who is, it would be much better for you to log on and claim the free resources that are available NOW, rather than staying logged out until his myth drops and then spending money on it. My personal theory is that how Rafayel's myth performs is going to be key in whether we have a shot at getting Valko back.

At the end of the day, if we can get Valko back, great, but it's not worth dragging anyone's mental health through the mud in the process so please take care of yourselves!

With everything going on and the events prior to Valko's cancelation, infold was set on having him in the game. The reason he was 'canceled' was bc infold was reported to the Chinese consumer protections (or another branch). The government is likely breathing down their necks and they are likely under a gag order either by their legal team or the gov, only able to give only nessesary information online, such as events being canceled. We know they have been harassed snd even had someone livestream themselves walking into infold HQ with a knife. Infold is likely taking multiple legal actions against those responsible for the harassment campaign and those that threatened to do bodily harm to their employees, along with Chinese news sources that spread misinformation and inflammatory rumors against infold and valko. Yes, their PR is abysmal, along with their communication, however they can't exactly post 'hey give us a minute, the government is on our ass and we have 50 lawsuits and criminal cases against people going on rn.'

It has only been abt 2 weeks since shit hit the fan. Legal proceedings take time.

Government paperwork or review takes time.

I did not expect valko to be in the 6.0 update and, quite honestly given the situation, no one should have expected in the 6.0 update.

I know we're angry and upset and we want our puppy. We want answers and communication. However, none of us are in infold's offices. None of us know what legal or governmental issues they're dealing with.

((And no this doesn't mean we need to get off their ass about this. We keep the protest and boycot going until we get solid veritable answers. And even then infold best be coming back groveling for forgiveness))

Remember, it has been 12 days since the mess begin, with 2 major chinese holidays with infold also seeing legal action against the cyber smear campaign (technically just police cracking down on cyber bullying), editing the update in a panic, and likely seeking out other legal actions.

Let's not loose our heads and catastrophize the worst outcomes. If they wanted valko gone, they would have deleted everything about him. They haven't. The game breaking update was 10 gigs. The only way for thay nothing sandwich of an update to be 10 gigs is for his files to still be there. If the chinese gov wanted lads gone, it would be shut down. If they wanted paper games/infold shut down, it would be shut down.

I have faith that Valko will be released in a later update and I won't give up just bc we've had to wait.

The Protest

We are trending on X once again—in several ways! Inflop is killing me.

Inflop's revenue is looking....yikes.

Let me explain a little bit. Those spikes are usually new banners, multi-banners, or new solo banners. For example, that big spike between April and May was Lingering Lust. Now, you can see a little bit of a pattern—big spike, drop, little spike, drop, repeat. But, after this previous multi-banner, we didn't get another spike. Instead, it has completely stagnated below their average revenue (yellow dotted line). THIS IS GOOD. This is what we want. We need to keep this going.

Basically, their revenue is down 32.4% globally. To any financial advisor, this would be a red alert kind of moment. Keep it going, friends!

The CN Media

Buckle up.

The RedNote video that I mentioned earlier (this one) is up to almost 20,000 comments. Reminder that this video was posted to help clear the air about Valko and dispel the rumors that are being spread in the media. The vast majority are positive! Now, the media is trying to combat this—more rumors and misinformation are being spread, but people are waking up. Weibo is being censored simply because the comments on these articles are trying to disprove them.

I need y'all to understand how amazing this is. In China, fighting against the media is terrifying. It is almost social suicide. Our CN sisters are being so extremely brave by speaking up.

This isn't just hopium, this is genuine hope. More and more people are realizing that they were led astray by the media, and they're joining our cause. Instead of the snowball effect working against us, it's now rolling in our favor.

Here's the thing: there's too much speculation going on. CN players said this, an insider send me this, so on and so forth. People are fearmongering, spreading rumors that can't be verified, and generally hurting morale.

The fact of the matter is that we have NO idea what's happening behind the scenes. Like I've said before, without an official statement from Infold, we can't be 100% sure about what's going on. With that being said, the best thing we can do is keep fighting.

Listen, I'm about sick and tired of the negativity on my timeline. I'm tired of the rumors and the speculation and the misinformation. It's not helping anyone.

So, I'm going to resort to posting memes with the hashtags. I'm posting headcanons and wolf facts and hot pictures of Valko with the hashtags. Because, you know what? It still counts.

I encourage you to have fun with this. I know the situation is stressful, but there's very little we can do to change the current circumstances. Bring some positivity to the timeline. You'll be a lot less likely to burn out if you find a way to have some fun.

I will still be bringing you any verifiable information I can find, though it is few and far between. Stay vigilant, and do not believe everything you see.

So I just want to clear something up here. THIS IS JUST A THEORY SO BELIEVE WHAT YOU WILL.

Removing and bringing back Valko is all up to Infold. It’s not up to the government to force anyone to remove him. This is because Valko’s character has not violated any laws or regulations. I spent a while viewing a few posts from my CN moots and they have specifically said that this is solely Infold’s decision, but obviously we can’t say for sure. If the government found that Valko’s character violated any laws, they would have made Infold make a statement to clearly specify that he’s not coming back on the 9th. But obviously this also means if they are still reviewing his content, we don’t know what they’ll say.

Of course, that doesn’t mean they aren’t still investigating. The government may very well still be heavily fact checking all of Valko’s upcoming and current content.

The issue is not Valko, it’s the game as a whole. The main thing to worry about is the whole game, because we do know for a fact that Love and Deepspace involves uncensored content. And specifically for their recent hot springs banner, there is a problem there. They could possibly censor, or not, but they won’t completely turn a blind eye to it. They are also possibly being investigated for how much violence is included in the game, whether it be written or visual. However I heavily doubt that violence will be a problem, as the game is labelled as a combat game as well as an otome.

We need to stop stressing and trust this will go as planned. Yes, the media spouts lies and misinformation, however if the game is being heavily investigated, they will do it thoroughly. I think people don’t understand that when they investigate, they investigate the whole game. And they try to understand every aspect of it. That is why it takes a while for reviewing. Trust me when I say, Infold is a stubborn company. They can’t let us in on just anything happening legally, but I trust that Infold knows what they’re doing. This is their legal battle and we have to let them do their thing.

They have won a court case against Tencent before, so we know for a fact they aren’t afraid to confront things in a legal manner. They are probably consulting with lawyers as we stress and freak out. I believe wholeheartedly they won’t let their game get shut down, or Valko being completely removed, nor will they replace Love and Deepspace with another game because LADs is literally their golden child. Yes, all their games are extremely popular, however Infold has never seen success as much as they have in Love and Deepspace.

Don’t doubt Love and Deepspace, and don’t doubt all their effort we have made to get our points across. I bet everything that Infold, the media, and the government are definitely spectating all of this and are taking everything we do into account. So don’t doubt! It doesn’t get us anywhere and it just encourages demotivation (is that a word? 💀).

So let’s stay positive ! Keep expressing your love for Valko as much as you can, and your love for how Love and Deepspace has been very informative of Chinese Culture in the game. This can include events, banners, outfits, paper cuttings, anything! We know for a fact Love and Deepspace includes Chinese Culture in their game all the time, so let’s make sure they know it! And please let’s not forget, there are no sides here. We are only on the side of Love and Deepspace as a game and its characters. We aren’t on Infold’s side, nor are we against them. We are on the side of Valko. We aren’t on the government’s side, nor are we against them. Let’s just remember that! Just think of Valko and the other love interests. That is our goal!

Rafayel’s 4th Myth boycott - 17th July

Now, I am very unbiased in what I’m about to say, and just know that I am someone who is boycotting at this moment and has been for the past 11 days (has it really been that long?). I might sound a bit harsh but know that I wanted to pull for Rafayel’s 4th Myth myself, however I will not be doing that now due to the boycott.

We need everyone to realise that if Rafayel’s Myth is implemented on the 17th, this practically confirms that Infold has every right to release Valko, and that they are in the clear from the government. Because we know that Infold is possibly being reviewed for censorship, however if Rafayel’s Myth is released and we find that it has mature themes, it is practically confirmed that they are in the clear now.

And what does that mean?

That means we have to boycott like crazy. As many people as possible. That means the Rafayel girls need to restrain themselves, just like the Zayne girls did when GOA had his rerun. Just remember, a lot of girls did not have GOA and wanted him, however they made their sacrifices and decided not to pull for him. Now it’s Rafayel’s turn. And I’m not saying this out of spite, or hatred or anything, but we need to show Infold we will not stand for Rafayel being used to gain all the revenue they have lost during the boycott.

We need to boycott Rafayel’s Myth too. Think about it. Rafayel is Infold’s baby (I saw this on X and found it funny and cute please 😭). He’s Infold’s face of the game and we need to prove a point by showing we will not tolerate this. Rafayel mains should be angry he’s being used like this. That Infold decided to slip him in knowing we aren’t asking for this right now.

We need to show that we are demanding for them to give us what we were promised. That’s the most we can do right now. So I ask, please do not pull for Rafayel’s Myth, and certainly to not spend money.

If you are very desperate, and I mean soul crushing dying on the floor desperate, then pull on the last day without spending any money. That’s the main goal. No spending. Not a single penny, dollar, coin or whatever.

We know for a fact all the anti-Valko girls will be spending like crazy on this banner. They have it planned and they know that no one can stop them. All we can do by fighting back is not spending anything and not pulling.

And even if you aren’t a Valko main as a Rafayel girl, just think you’re doing this for Rafayel. Show Infold that you won’t tolerate Rafayel being thrown in the crossfire to pick up for their mistakes. That’s just an insult towards him and everything he stands for.

There will always be a rerun, trust me. And it will come fast if we boycott properly. In my opinion, if Rafayel’s banner doesn’t profit, they will release Valko and soon after they will have a rerun for Rafayel. So please be patient. Do what the Zayne girls did, and keep fighting. I heavily admire the Zayne girls who didn’t have GOA who had the strength to skip for this banner, especially when GOA is a powerful companion for battles.

I understand what the previous anon is saying. From what I've personally seen, the Chinese government isn't something companies can simply ignore. Companies I've worked with went through what was described to me as political reeducation, and when they came back, the company culture and the way they communicated had noticeably changed. That's just my personal experience, but it definitely changed how I view situations like this.

Honestly, I'm surprised Infold's punishment has been relatively light compared to past regulatory crackdowns. Other companies have faced years long rectification periods, massive fines, restructurings, suspended approvals, or leadership shakeups. Infold seems to have avoided the harsher outcomes, at least so far.

The usual pattern is pretty consistent: cooperate with regulators, complete the rectification period(the silence), strengthen internal compliance and Party oversight, adjust content if required (which seems to be happening here like no secret time this update, no rerun of spicy banner, and the rumor of tone down myths), keep a low profile, and slowly rebuild trust. Fighting back generally isn't a realistic option at all. I won't pretend Infold is innocent, but I also think people underestimate the political pressure they're under.

If support for Valko stays strong and over time and he no longer poses a regulatory risk, I wouldn't completely rule out his return, though I wouldn't expect it before next year. They've already invested heavily in his writing, art, voice acting, and marketing, so there's a clear business incentive if circumstances eventually allow it.

I'm also a game developer working with companies in China, so I have my own reasons for seeing this differently. And honestly, I want to keep supporting one of the few otome games that's unapologetically made for women and includes features like period tracking. Those kinds of female focused features are a liberal move in the industry.

As for everyone jumping ship, the grass isn't always greener. A lot of the upcoming otome companies already have their own histories of aggressive monetization, poor communication, censorship issues, or questionable treatment of their communities. A different logo doesn't automatically mean a better company (speaking from an insider).

That's why I'll probably keep playing. I can disagree with Infold's decisions while also recognizing that business incentives, regulatory pressure, and political realities make the situation more complicated than simply saying the company is greedy or doesn't care about its players.

i mean yeah i went down the rabbit hole of how things work there and for a company who wasn’t really this silent ever? it makes a lot of sense. they didn’t even announce any reruns on their platform this time. they don’t communicate promptly that’s true, but they aren’t this radio silent either.

a lot of the content within the spicy cards and the catch 22 banner cards numbers is getting removed. they are going down the minute details that will help them get through whatever this period is. there is a party regulation officer that usually takes care of each company. and i’m sure this issue was sent to them. their policy is simple…. if it’s causing a stir, just shut it down.

and i somehow estimated the cost of building a character, it’s in millions. for a stingy company like infold 💀 losing millions isn’t something they would be doing on their own unless someone’s boot is on their neck and they have to comply to them. because they do know that valko is about to generate them BIG BAG. 💰

atp i have also heard that their competition silent whispers was also a part of this smear campaign and recently they’ve sent a notice to their player base basically throwing deep shade at infold — talking about lighting issues, feedbacks taken seriously and whatnot xD

i’m just simply not sure whether to login again for a while. i understand what’s happening to a degree but it doesn’t invalidate the stress and the principle behind it. i would need some time for me to decide how i want to go about it. when i login, caleb would be behind my ass hunting me down though LMFAOAOAOA

Lawd what in the world happened on X during my drive...

Let me start by saying that there is a lot of mixed information floating around. It's very difficult to determine what is legitimate, I won't lie to you. People have differing opinions, there is a TON of conflicting information, and far too much speculation.

You all know by now that I want to avoid giving you any kind of misinformation. I do my fair share of speculating, but I don't want to lead you astray. So, with that being said, let's see what's going on.

The Current Protest

As you all know, we've pivoted to challenging the false information in the CN media. However, we seem to be shifting once again. Players have generally agreed that #ValkoWasFramed insinuates that we are challenging or placing blame—which we want to avoid for the sake of not causing any controversy. Now, we want to avoid directly confronting Chinese media.

Looking Forward

SPECULATION: I'm going to be frank with you—we're probably looking at getting Rafayel's 4th myth on July 17th. Infold is likely desperate to see a jump in revenue. Here's how the revenue chart is looking:

Basically, not good. This is only over the span of a month.

Once again, I'm going to be honest with you—if we want Valko back, we have to hit Infold where it hurts: revenue. That means absolutely no spending. As a myth collector, this is extremely frustrating to me, so believe me when I say that I understand how many of you feel.

However, you can absolutely choose for yourself. If you want to pull for it, don't let anyone shame you into feeling guilty.

But this post explains it well. "If spending spikes back to normal, headlines will write 'the boycott collapsed' and our leverage evaporates exactly when the company is deciding how much our waiting matters." This boycott does not have a deadline. It ends when we get Valko back.

Remember, banners always rerun. There will always be another chance to get it. I'm okay with missing out if it means making this protest stronger.

I very much encourage you to continue boycotting. Money is the universal language. Personally, I will not be touching the game until Infold releases an official statement.

Question everything, believe nothing. I am BEGGING all of you to use your common sense and critical thinking skills. I don't care if someone says they have "insider information" or they spoke to a CN player or whatever the hell. Unless they come with concrete, verifiable proof, keep scrolling.

Our end goal, no matter how we go about it, is the same: getting Valko back. Keep posting, keep talking, keep being loud. Make your voices heard.

Once again, the universal language is money. Even logging in puts money in Infold's pocket. Boycotting is ultimately your decision, but I ask you to think long term.

Valko's code is HAUNTING 6.0. From Caleb having his nose to Sylus sniffing furniture (posts linked). I've seen all I need to see from this version update, quite honestly. Limbs flying everywhere, heads are either huge or missing, eyes are popping out of their sockets—this is what happens when you don't release the tech guy.
