My parents are arguing non stop, I'm getting yelled at, I got told by my own mother that she hates autism.

I don't have anywhere neutral to go where I can vent and not feel judged or questioned about how or why I feel the way I do.

There's currently a massive rip in my house. My dad's not in a good mental state and he's taking it out on all of us, especially my younger brother. He's neglected me and my sister for my other brother who he'd take to football every night when we where younger, would claim he didn't have a favourite child ( that was a lie)

He'll go off in rants about how we don't love him or that we prefer our mam over him and when we try to explain that we love him he'll flip.

He'll have intense shouting matches with my brother when their in the car coming home from football despite the coaches telling him that yelling does more harm than good.

He'll have pity parties and then if we even si much as complain about something (i.e. my legs, my back or my eyes) he'll get really cold and say something like "Well at least you're here, someone's burying their child today" knowing full well that they have my little sister's urn on a dresser in the living room.

My youngest brother is at the age of wanting to go out with his friends but my dad won't let him do that. All he can do is play on his ps which is causing problems of its own. My dad actually bought fishing gear so he and my brother could go fishing but he's only ever taken him once and will make false promises to take him, never happens.

He'll make comments about our ( mine and my sister's) weight, he's the reason I broke up with my girlfriend the first time because he kept making comments about our relationship ( both he and his mam my nana are homophobic even if they say it's because of the time. I came out as ace to my nana and she didn't believe me.)

I don't think he understands just how abusive some of the things he says are.

Edit: he has also made comments on my disabilities. I understand I have limitations but he'll go through them with a fine tooth comb. You can't do this, you should do that, if you do this you'll lose your disability. Then when I'm stressing out about my autism he'll say "but your capable."

I've been working on my worrior cat oc mouse feather and decided to make two more, brightfeather and brighteye.

I really hope you all like these they took me two days to complete but they were worth it.

Mousefeather is a brown she-cat with deep brown eyes, sleek fur that has tabby markings on her back and tail. She is member of thunder clan and is bighteye's mate. She's a skilled Huntress and light on her paws.

Brightfeather was a male ginger tom no much is known about him other then the fact that he was mousefeather's brother and that he was killed by a twoleg monster (a car.) He is now a member of star clan. ( Really like his design, especially the little eye stars. I don't know if I did ok at representing what star clan cats look like so if a worrior fan with more knowledge could give feedback that would be great.)

Brighteye is a male Calico who was actually a kittypet before his twoleg abandoned him. His kittypet name was patches. He was taken in by firestar the scar over his eye was a result of a fight between him and a shadow clan cet, that happened before he had become member of the thunder clan when he was still a kittypet.

The “the r slur is coming back” discourse is interesting to me because from what I’ve seen it never actually left. Casual ableism has been deeply entrenched EVERYWHERE for as long as I can remember and that includes in lgbt+ spaces that otherwise generally take discrimination seriously.

Ableism often is treated as a lesser issue. Slurs, stereotypes, and dehumanizing language that would be immediately recognized as unacceptable if directed at other marginalized groups are dismissed as jokes, exaggerations, or “not that serious” when disabled people are the target. This ranges from casual use of slurs like the r slur down to the unimaginative insults like calling ignorant people “brain dead” or calling people delusional with the “is X in the room right now” crap.

The normalization of the r slur isn’t new or a even really much of a resurgence. It’s part of a widespread pattern of ableism that never actually went away, just got swept under the rug until people decided it had disappeared long enough that they could try to sound insightful and progressive by typing up essays about the r slur coming “back” when y’all have BEEN saying it for fucking years

It never left. People were told they couldn't say it so the started getting creative, although it's starting to pop up in it's original form again. And it's still used in certain medical texts. I have cerebral palsy and they still use the S slur, or at the very least they did when I was diagnosed (2014)

They use words like restarted, redacted and aucustic as insults.

They claim that everyone has a bit of autism and then complain when an autistic person dares to be themselves because it's "too autistic" we get called freaks, weirdos and other horrible names. We get told we don't look autistic or we don't act like their five year old nephew.

We get told that because we can walk we don't need pip or other benefits yet employers won't hire us because of our disabilities. Or we have eyes so we don't need support.

I can't speak for everyone but I'm autistic, I have cerebral palsy and a visual impairment yet because I can talk, walk and see, we don't get the support but we still get called names, we still get bullied and we're still the most likely to end our own lives.
