The designs for Grace & Rigsby for my MLP the Mentalist AU!

Grace is an earth pony who's cutie mark appeared around the time she got her first federal job. It is a security camera and refers to her digital surveillance skills. Graces mark actually helped her and Rigsby decide on a business in security.

Rigsby is a unicorn with some average magic abilities. He often tries to copy Janes non-magic tricks with his own horn, but usually has little to no success. His cutie mark appeared after he took a test during firefighting training. Academics are not Rigsbys strong point but the tests subject matter, fire science, seems to just naturally stick with him! The arrival of his mark convinced Rigsby to become an arsonist specialist and later join the CBI, rather than pursue a career as a firefighter.

Lisbon and Cho for my MLP the Mentalist AU :)

Lisbon is a Pegasus who underwent tactical wing training for her job, giving her particularly large and broad wings she uses in combat. (Most pegasus in the field have to wear vests that clip their wings to their sides during action to avoid damage, whereas Lisbons wings are fitted with protection and utilized in the field. Her cutie mark is a lit torch that appeared on her flank when she joined her schools debate club in high school. It is representative of her leadership abilities.

Cho is an earth pony with no visible cutie mark, which is strange but not unheard of. About 15-23% pony population does not receive their marks until they are adults or older, and 5-7% of ponies go their entire lives without receiving marks at all. It is unknown if Cho has a cutie mark that is just covered, or does not have one at all. The team refrains from asking about it, and since Cho is an excellent agent it doesn't matter to the agency.

New AU!!! THE MENTALIST 🧠

It was really fun making the designs and premise, here's some information on Jane:

So my mlp AU follows the same cannon as the actual show with some few changes. Patrick Jane is a purebred unicorn with a rare genetic condition that makes his magic horn completely non-functional. Instead, he uses his cannon typical methods of psychology, trickery, and illusion to figure out the case. His purebred status was by chance (he still grew up in the same conditions as is cannon in the show), and likely what lead to his horn condition.

His lack of magic, which is a secret outside of the main crew, gives him the upper hand in cases as otherpony always assume he has the strengths and weaknesses of a normal, magic bearing unicorn. Essentially, rather than masquerading as a psychic, Jane is pretending to be a magic unicorn. His cutie mark was received relatively early at the age of 14, and is a cup of tea with steam representative of his expertise in Tea.

Introducing season 3 couples: The unicorn stussy brothers and their Pegasus partners!

Some info about them:

Emmits coat is shiny cause he comes from pedigree and obsessively tends to it. Rays used to look like that but lost its luster when he stopped caring for it and trimmed it for his job.

Ray himself gave up on Magic pretty early on (is encouraged again when he meets Nikki) while Emmit continued with classical training, but doesn't have any "on the fly" or practical magic, just half bad party tricks.

Sy's feathers get ruffled easily and he "talks" with his wings when he's emotional. For Nikki, her wings are abnormally strong and she uses that to her advantage as other ponies usually assume the opposite. She has the ability to do a two legged flying take off (a neat trick that's hard to accomplish) because she is familiar with making quick getaways.
