I always feel pretty bad because it takes me forever to post, but I do have other little ideas that I almost never write down, so I could post them here? These probably would still mostly be Mymo, but maybe also other characters if I think of themā¦

Ughhhhhh sorry for the wait again!! Iām gonna have to do this with every request I have sitting right now bc I havenāt posted for so long!! Anyways, Iām slowly but surely getting back into the groove of things, so Iām hoping to get one or two more out this month maybe
CW: GN reader- no name or pronouns used, slight stalking but not really, Mymo being a dick as always, slight monster fucker energy at the end but also not really, minor canon divergence
Mymo was easy to love; almost concernedly so. Whether he was on the TV or radio, or even just in person, he exuded such charisma that it became genuinely hard to hate him. Even those that did have a dislike of him for whatever reason still had to admit that the world was better with him in it, as without him there would be an untold number of deaths. No one knew how he did it, but the ground was a mind your business kind of place, so its not like anyone dared to ask. Mymo had the information, and it was something he shared quickly and freely. Asā¦ dimwitted as some people on the ground may be, nobody ignored the mans forecasts and predictions. Simple as they are, listening to them could quite literally be the difference between life and death.
Despite saying he's simply the grounds resident broadcaster and weatherman, it was no doubt in anyone's mind that he'd gain a large following of fans. His flashy appearance and seeming love for the groundling's certainly didn't hurt his chances, and you would never hear him complaining. In factā he did have a particular fondness for his highest circle of fans, or perhaps calling them groupies would be more fitting. They dressed like him, followed him around from city to city like lost puppies, and would never let a bad word go against him. It almost seemed religious with how some spend their time focusing almost solely on the man, but it wasn't as if other celebrities didn't also have a rabid fan-base, so it wasn't anything to pay much mind to.
The first time you saw him with your own eyes at some fundraising event or something like that, you knew immediately that you had to climb those ranks. There was just something about him, something almost addictive, and it pulled you closer and closer. After some time, you could even dare to call yourself something of an expert on the manā honestly, you had his whole routine and little quirks near memorized. Sure, he had never spoken a word directly to you, but that didn't matter, as anytime he spoke collectively it was like he was speaking into your soul. It didn't take long at all to become the president of your towns Mymo fan club, as no one would dare try to match your knowledge on the man.
God, how you dreamed to one day be like one of those groupies. He seemed so fond of them, taking time to speak to them personally, and making sure they stuck by himā¦ It's not like you could just start stalking him or something! Goodness no, but to be chosen as one of his top fans? If you could just show Mymo how much you adored him, even if only for a second, then surely you would be recognised as something special. Surely then you'd be worthy of his attention.
It was one day like any other when it happened. The radio was playing some indistinct song from some artist you've never heard of, the typical poppy sound that always played after one of Mymo's broadcasts, and you let out a sigh as you replayed his words in your head. It was nothing unusualā in fact, it was a completely normal report! The Sphere would be passing overhead some miles away from your town, so there was nothing to be worried about except the occasional tin can that would blow in the wind. The sun would be shining as much as it could through the near perpetually overcast sky, so all in all it would be a fairly peaceful day.
The words replayed over and over again in your mind as you went through your own little afternoon routine, occasionally noting mentally that Mymo must be in the process of writing the script for his next broadcast, or maybe off getting lunch, or maybeā
A sharp and sudden knock at the door cut off your train of thought, causing you to take a moment to actually get your bearings. By the time you had got to the door you were working almost on autopilot, and so it was no surprise when, just for a moment, you were completely un-phased as your Idol stood in front of you.
Waitā!
Mymo stood, his arms folded neatly behind his back, and a thin but toothy smile on his face. He was completely silent for a beat, his smile only widening as you actually began to react to his presence, words stammering and stuttering, then dying in your throat. After a moment he removes one hand from behind his back, simply pointing up one finger up in an attempt to shush you, which you immediately did.
"A little birdie told me that youāre quite theā¦ fan, yes?" Mymo spoke smoothly, a stark difference to the erratic tone he usually uses during one of his broadcasts.
You gave a short quick nod, the idea of actually speaking to the man causing a quick hammering in your chest.
"Good.." Mymo lowered his finger, straightening his back as if it wasn't completely straight before, and a short breath leaves his lips. "Then I have a proposition for you.."
The months after passed in such a blur. One moment you were living your life as an ordinary fan, and the next you were in his top circle, hearing about his plans to cleanse the ground of pollution first hand. You already knew how much of a gift he was to the ground with how he selflessly gave out information of the sphere and subsequent trash storms, but hearing how lofty his dreams to save humanity were was something awe inspiring.
You know you had to help in any way that you couldā¦ also for completely selfless reasons of course. Not the fact that it meant Mymo would talk to you more in passing, or that even when dismissing you he still would say your name as if it was worth somethingā¦
ā¦
Mymo wasn't an idiot; he could almost laugh at how transparent you were. Every minor glance he sent your way was met with quickened breathing and the sudden rush of blood to your face, and every order that he gave was quickly carried out with an efficient haste. Sure, he only picked you out because you knew so much already and it would be easier to keep someone with that much information in check if they were close, but he could tell it was a worthwhile investment to keep you around.
It was interesting, he thought, that no matter what he did you would somehow justify it. There was an incident perhaps a few weeks before where he had very obviously lost his temper at you, he couldn't even remember why anymore, but you just stood there and took it while he berated you. Even though it was something minor, all his days frustrations were unjustly let out on you, and you didn't say a word. There was no defence, not even a tear brimming in your eye, and he could almost swear that there was a smile on your face. Not even Felix, whom he considered to be one of his most loyal followers, would've been that passive. Willing to take it? Sure! but the man would've apologised profusely for his supposed wrongdoings, or at least tried to help Mymo see some reason. No, you just stood there, happy as a clam to take whatever he gave you.
You were in love with him, plain and simple, and you both knew it. Mymo, being the busy man that he was, payed little to no mind to this, but for you it was all consuming. He had other dealings to pay attention to, and many more fans that likely felt similar feelings towards him, but even then you knew that what you felt wasn't just some silly celebrity crush. You truly believed he could make the world a safer and better place, no matter the cost. No matter the cost was always something that he stressed. That no matter what would happen to him, his vision would be carried out. When you had first heard this, it sounded so courageous of him. He would note that he wasn't the strongest person physically, but that it was his will and determination that brought him so far.
You didn't think he meantā¦ this.
You had came with him to the doll festival along with a handful of his most trustworthy followers, meant to only be there for hauling equipment and tending to his needs. He had a plan, one he only spoke of vaguely, to get such a large sum of people under his control all at once, and that would be his stepping stone to what he described as prosperity.
Mymo's jinki, a microphone he often carried with him, could control the mind and body of whoever heard his words spoken through it, so long as he had drank their blood. It was his power, one of control, that he would put into full affect during the festival through the chokers. Much to Mymo's surprise you had even offered up your own blood freely, but it was quickly shrugged off for being completely unnecessary.
And so, the festival started, and it started without a hitch.
Everything was going smoothly, and as you sat watching from backstage you couldn't help but give a sigh of relief. Too Lily performed spectacularly, and the audience was so captivated that they didn't seem to notice the constant surveillance from some others that had come with you. Your eyes, however, were trained on Mymo. He was in complete performance mode, the calm and restrained personality that you had come to know completely gone for the moment, and replaced with the one you had first become captivated by. Mymo commentated the performance happily, every word and tone carefully crafted as to not give his image away prematurely, though his grip on the microphone was completely iron clad.
When the performance began to wind down, you couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in his body language; it had quite literally become like second nature to you after observing him for so long, as even when he didn't speak you would soak up any form of communication he gave off. One hand gripped onto the railing as he leaned over it, the other gripped equally as tight onto the microphone. His body was bouncy, all of that excitement near impossible to keep contained, though you know that in a moment he would put a facade back up. He wouldn't be caught dead carrying out any sort of plans in an erratic stateā¦
"You'll stay back, wont you?"
You suddenly shake your head, blinking a few times before realising that Mymo was looking at you, a strange grin on his face.
"Im sure everything will go rather smoothly, though still, I wouldn't want to risk the possibility of one of myā¦" Mymo trails off for a moment before humming to himself. "It would be inconvenient if you went and got yourself hurt in the commotion."
You sucked in a breath, glancing around for a moment to make sure that he was indeed talking to you, and suddenly realised that everyone else had either cleared out or was far too busy and distracted to be worth chatting to.
"Oh-! Right, yes, of course, Lord Mymo!" Your words spilled out as you awkwardly scrambled to stand up straight, something of a nervous smile on your face. "I wouldn't want to interfere with your plans anyway!"
"Good, goodā¦" Mymo turns back to watch the show, various acts now taking the stage. "Something has come up, but its nothing that my power can't quickly take care ofā¦"
You opened your mouth to respond, but closed it just as quickly as Mymo activated the microphone into its powered form. No matter how many times you may have seen it before, it was just as glorious as the first.

None of the plan went how you had expected it to goā¦ In fact, you aren't entirely sure what actually happenedā¦
Mymoā or, well, at least you think itā¦ he's Mymo, holds you in one arm, one long and clawed finger from his other hand gently scratching at the top of your head. He stares down at you from eyes set deep in his now stone like flesh, a faint sound akin to breathing leaving his mouth. A row of needle like teeth lined the cracked maw on his face, a permanent grin on his new body.
"I did itā¦" He spoke, his words rough and formed by unfamiliar shapes in his mouth. "You knew I could do itā¦ The others thought I could, but you knew itā¦"
"Wellā¦ Iā¦ You're just so wonderful thatā¦ I mean, how could I not?" Your own voice was weak, quiet and barely noticeable compared to that of Mymo's, though he made an almost chirping noise in response to show that he heard.
"Yesā¦ You're ever so smartā¦ You really were worthwhile to keep closeā¦"
Mymo's claw poked softly at your cheek, and after a moment he shifts you up higher, holding you closer to the crook of his neck.
"I'mā¦ Trying rather hard to be gentle with youā¦"
"Iā"
"This bodyā¦ spectacular as it isā¦ Well, I have no problems with being weak like I once was, but it makes it quite difficult when I'm trying to handle something so fragile and precious."
A shiver runs through your body. "Preciousā¦?"
"Not that I want to be facetious about it, but we both know how you feel towards me. That hopeless, desperate clawing at your insidesā¦"
In that moment you felt like your insides had suddenly disappeared from your body, replaced by complete dread.
If Mymo could, he would be grinning wider. "Don't think I haven't noticed your constant staring, and all of that murmuring under your breath about meā¦"
"Lord Mymo, Iā!"
"But don't think that all of that attention wasā¦ unwanted." Mymo preens his head down slightly, head cocked to the side as he glances at you. "In fact, some of it was ratherā¦ pleasant."
A breath of pure mortification escapes your lips, and for just a second the air stills around you. It wasn't as if you were hiding your adoration of him, you were sure he knew exactly how you felt about him anyway, but hearing him talk about it it?! Mymo stares, his body statuesque, and his eyes the only thing moving as he looks over you.
"You are smart, my dearā¦ I'm sure you can figure out some quite simple subtext, can you not?"
Your heart hammers hard against your chest, the implication of his words suddenly high in your mind. It really didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what he meant, but you couldn't dare say it to his face. On the off chance that you were wrong and simply misread the situation entirely, who knows what he would do to you? It certainly didn't take much force from him to decimate an entire landscape some time earlier, and with you already in his graspā¦?"
All you could do was empty your lungs, eyes wide as you stare back up at him. After a moment he made a similar chirping sound to before, the back of his clawed finger nuzzling against your cheek.
"Ah, embarrassed? Hmm, I apologiseā¦" His words come out slowly, though in a tone that was more teasing than genuine. "Though with this new body, my jobā¦ it's much easier than before, which allows me the ability of focusing on other things, one of those being interpersonal relationshipsā¦"
Mymo pauses for a moment, lifting his head back up. "And I think I'd like to have that with you."
Itās a short-ish one, and we wonāt be getting one next week, but this just

Now, depending on what Rudo actually tells her? Yeah, she might haveā¦ intentions of keeping him detained (especially if she knows that heās a descendant of the guy that made the watchman series), but at least she wonāt know that Rudo was born on the ground? Since he doesnāt know that either

I would imagine sheāll find out about the āAngelā, and how the Angel was able to travel from the ground to the sphere freely. In the manga itās a lot more obvious, but I wonder if Rudo has realised that Regtoās journal was a piece of the watchman series? Since he saw the Angel take itā¦
Then sheāll probably find out that Zodyl, the leader of the Raiders, has the coat. Itās mentioned before that the Hellguard donāt seem to do anything about the raiders, so maybe that would force their hand?

The parallel thatās being made between Eishia and Zanka is so fitting though. Theyāre both seemingly too reliant on their Jinki, rather than their inherent skill setā¦
Though, where itās Goka and Kyouka that see Zanka as too reliant, itās Eishia that sees it in herselfā¦
But even then, they both declare that they āHave to changeā

I donāt know how much theyāll bond because their insecurities are coming from two different places, but god
Like, August mentions that Eishia seemingly DID heal everyone at the festival, yet she feels down because she couldnāt help ONE person that she believes she shouldāve been able to.
Zanka has consistently tried to prove himself, yet failed every time. We know he is genuinely extremely skilled, but he still always puts himself down, even when heās trying to hype himself up. Like heās only very recently back in commission after losing two fights to Jabber, yet through literally no fault of his own he was severely harmed, then berated for it by Goka.
Mind you, Goka states when this happens that Mymo looked at him, did not attack, and went straight for Zanka. Iām sorry, but Goka, if Mymo went for you then you wouldāve 100% died. I genuinely believe that Goka is jealous or resentful of Zanka in some way, shape, or form. Like Kyouka seems to hold Zanka in such high regard, as sheās only ever talking somewhat positively about him, but the only time weāve really seen her and Goka interact itās her telling him that basically he needs to calm down, and that Goka needs to focus on his own strengths rather than focusing on Zankaāsā¦

Like, they donāt seem to have a hatred for givers in general, but more so the fact that givers become over reliant on their Jinkiās, to the point where they let that become their identity.

Hopefully we get a reunion of sorts next chapter, with Enjin, Rudo, and Zankaā and if weāre lucky, Riyo, Fu, Amo, August, and Eishia might appear? Though with them Iām a little more doubtful

I completely missed this until I was just re reading the chapter, but
Gountess has shines in his eyes again.
He doesnāt have giver eyes anymore! At least not in this panel.
Most other panels of Gountess in this chapter are so low detail, or too expressive for them to be drawn.
But this is so fucking cool!
The last time we saw Felix after his vital instrument was seemingly destroyed, he still had giver eyes
Maybe since the watchman series can be passed on, and anyone (given they have some sort of obsession/arent āfully humanā) can use them, itās special in that way?
Cause as far as I can put together, when a giver creates their vital instrument, theyāre imbuing the object with their own anima. Anima seems to have some sort of connection to the soul, so maybe theyāre sharing a āsoulā with their Jinki?
But with the watchman series, they were all seemingly created by Canis, so when someone is using the watchman series theyāre just borrowing Canisās anima?
And with the canvas town spellcasters, theyāre just borrowing Macaca Icols?
I donāt know, Iām not gonna read too much into it, but itās something neat that I noticed

Poor Rudo is just so out of it. Even though Lily and Gountess are talking to him, you know for a fact he isnāt listening. His ears are ringing from the blood pumping 100%
So that slow turn to Enjinā¦
Rudo doesnāt waste any time in running to Enjin. He immediately takes his shirt off to apply pressure to the wound ā¹ļøā¹ļøā¹ļø
He didnāt even fully process that Enjin was even there it seems, nor does he know what Enjin did. God, when I get him
Gountess thinking in his head makes me low key think heās figuring it out. He (at this point in time, and excluding big T) knows probably more about the watchman series than any other character we know, so it wouldnāt be impossible to figure out that a wound like that would be caused by the blowback of one. Especially when he and Rudo talked about how neither of them used their watchman series items, yet thatās what was used to hurt Mymo.
Lily also calculating if saving Enjin would cause harm, and deciding that it wouldnāt since he helped them. God, sheās smarter than anyone gives her credit for.
But god. It doesnāt even work.
Her power canāt even touch him.
Even after Eishia is teleported in, she canāt help him either.

Itās very interesting to me that Rudo is so cautious and worried about killing people. Like he doesnāt want anyone to get hurt. He does have āaspirationsā of killing everyone on the sphere for revenge, but I donāt think thatās what he actually wants.

Maybe he thinks that if he was able to take down Mymo when he was still human and get him apprehended by the Hellguard that everything would be okay

If he DOES die though, there needs to be a little time beforehand where Rudo gets told about Enjin meeting him and Alto before. Their characters are so interlinked at this point that it just needs to happen, at least in my opinion.
Eishia shouldnāt be too far away, and considering that Enjin has known her since she was a young kid, I donāt doubt that she would prioritise treating his injuries over other peopleās, especially since his are literally life or death.
Mymo is realising that heāsā¦ miscalculated.
God, I find his character so interesting. He knows that when he was still in his human body that he was severely limited with what he was able to do- thatās why he had Felix and Gil flanking him.
Heās so smart but didnāt account for Enjin having the last watchman piece, because who wouldāve?

He would only accept someone as a true equal to himself if they had basically irreplaceable worth. Now that doesnāt mean they have to be a giver, it could be something as simple as them having social influence.
Even then, Mymo always has a need to feel like the dominant one in a relationship. It would be very rare for him to start one with a power gap where he is the weaker one.
You? Youāre smart enough to notice this. Everyone knew that information on the ground was a currency in its own right, and you used that to your advantage.
You had your own agenda. To rule. To be more. Perhaps you only planned to use Mymo because of how prolific his presence on the ground was.
It didnāt take much studying him to realise that his inflated ego wasnāt that of a celebrity, but that of a leader. Sure, you didnāt know his goals, but you could tell he was putting up something of a front.
You started off as an intern at his news station. Someone so bland and unassuming that nobody would notice your presence, and by the time that they did? Nobody would question it because youāve been there so long.
Patience was always a virtue, but with your apparent submissive nature and extraordinary skills, it didnāt take long for you to work your way to catching Mymoās eye.
Men like that always need to be the smart one. You let him think he discovered how special you are all on his own. That heās the one that seduced you, and not the other way around.
You truly did just want to use him at first, but after a steamy date or two that definitely made a few HR violations, something shifted.
He was methodical. Patient. Everything you embodied.
By the time you had realised that Mymo was just like you? Oh, he was already hooked on you.
You kept up the innocent little intern persona, and slowly but surely he let his guard down more and more.
Eventually youāre in a full blown relationship, no ifās, andās, or butās about it.
Perhaps you had gotten sloppy, or maybe you did it intentionally, but one day Mymo confronts you about it. He began to notice your smirks when you thought nobody was looking, and your almost imperceptible looks of disgust when someone spoke to you.
To say he was smitten is an understatement.
Of course he still tries to play the dominant role, but bit by bit you begin to push your luck. He already knows about your ruse but was too besotted with you to care.
Mymo, too, is smart. Of course he knows what youāre doing. He thinks itās so cute that you think you can pull the wool over his eyes.
But heās already deep into the relationship, and he has to admit that you are quite fascinating when youāre being so methodical. Sometimes youāre actually convincing!
As much fun as it is for him to watch you, eventually he does reveal that he knows, making a spectacle of it of course.
Itās almost terrifying when you realise you canāt lie your way out of it, but thatās quickly changed when you see that smile on his face. Not one of maliciousness, but one of almost relief.
You knew right then and there that this really would be something special.
Mymo is almost shameless with it. Whatever your previous position was doesnāt matter, because now youāll always be right next to him anyway.
Being his partner before didnāt give you much of any power, just being his little secret, but now he doesnāt have to hide you.
His cult followers immediately get suspicious when youāre always clinging to him, and conversely heās always clinging to you. One brings up the idea that you might have a mind control Jinki of your own that you used on him.
Mymo finds the notion hilarious, though internally thinks that even if you did it wouldnāt change much. You have the same goals, so whatās so wrong about him being so utterly whipped for you?
He doesnāt deal with them himself, instead leaving it to you. He grins the entire time as he watches you, either metaphorically or physically, tear into them.
I imagine that despite the almost obsessiveness, something you both enjoy, there would be friction in the relationship.
Both of you are in a constant fight for dominance, even in the most subtle ways.
It starts off with small things. Maybe you paid the bill for dinner before he got the chance, or he bought you a snack you ran out of without needing to be asked.
Simple. Cute. Harmless.
It very quickly becomes something larger than that.
You make one of his followers that was getting a little too devout disappear.
He makes it known that heās tasted the blood of those close to you, just in case..!
Thereās a constant silent battle going on between you two, even when youāre snuggled up next to one another.
If he really does something to piss you off, the silent treatment gives him the biggest dose of anxiety heās ever had.
Even when you were fighting before he would at least get to hear your voice!
Youāre better than him anyway. Who needs a man that obviously so insecure? You can gain noterietay with or without him.
But thenā¦ he actually grovels at your feet.
He drops to his hands and knees, takes his glasses off, and actually begs for your forgiveness.
You almost donāt want to believe him, but he looks just so adorably pathetic sucking up to you like that.
When you inevitably forgive him, he doesnāt give up control, but you can tell heās always that little bit more lenient.
Where once he spoke about being the sole leader that would bring the ground into greatness, he now speaks of being attached to the hip with you.
He probably thinks about using Elenhos to make that literal, but he likes holding you too much to give that up.
I think that if the doll fest were to happen, he would outright refuse to turn you ābeyond humanā though. He likes you too much as you are now. Why would he change you when youāre already the epitome of perfection in his eyes?
Yet still, despite his size in his new form, he would still find a way to grovel at your feet.
