Media outlets know what they are doing
We all take the bait. Media spins news that is ludicrous because it’s just another form of click bait. They know people generally like watching idiots or anything controversial. The world and the people in it are not the same people they depict on media.
My hobbies these days consist of tattooing, my iPad, gaming, and video and music editing. I only make money from one of these outlets so far. My goal needs to find a lifestyle that allows me to be paid for all the hobbies.

I wanted to be an artist and started an apprenticeship to become one, but instead I was taught how to pretend to be an artist rather then just being one/myself. I had to fit the description of what others expect an artist to look and act like in order to gain any influence and living through my art. There has been way too much plagerism and art theft because of the rise of Google and Pinterest and I've spent too many sessions referencing images that shouldn't ever be considered as a tattoo. Time to reboot and regrow my art awareness and let things flow more organically

This place is toxic. The ones I call coworkers all seem to care only for money. Atleast one of them actually seems interested in art. I've come to a point where I've lost all drive and am seeking to regain the passion I've lost due to the shop I'm in. I blamed myself for far too long and I'm opening my eyes more. I've been sucked into simply making art to make more money and no matter how I live in forced into a corner where money is always the main drive. I don't want to live like this and I need to push to get out of it. Irony is that I have to make a whole lot more money to push to be free. Atleast I'm more aware and can work on my passions at the same time as long as I can find my focus between all the work.
ive starved and neglected small animals ive kept as pets due to depression. its not intentional and i should have seen this as a regular issue. its happened a few times since i was a kid. my depression stems from systematic neglect from a young age. living in a junk pile and barely having room to move can really tear apart a kid. or does this mean im psychotic in some way. i think i need therapy.
ive spent too long trying to self analyze and the older i get the more i realize how fucked up i am as a person and the situations i was grown with. neglected and weening off of my eldest sister in the household, left in diapers and my own shit till i was nearly 4 years old. my mother refused to ween me and kept me on the bottle.
only recently did i come to find my parents were swingers and left the house regularly to do their deeds while my eldest sister mothered her siblings. explains why they still worked in love hotels and stripclubs as i got older.
my sisters left the house one by one as i got older. 8-11-15 years old they left to florida to stay with my aunt who took on the new mother figure for them all. at which point i moved into my sisters open apartment that was in the same building my parents were renting. i found some comfort in my own place for once, away from the filth and heaps of junk my father held onto.
once i had my own place it quickly turned to me and new friends taking advantage of having my own apartment at 15. brought in drugs - mostly psychodelics. all the liqour and sent me on a venture to try to escape my situation. parents bent on convincing me its my duty to take care of them and not do what my sisters did.
my parents treated me just like i treated the animals they let me keep. neglected and left in trash. the only difference is i was well fed and told i was loved in words, but not so much physically or shown in emotion. i was left to fend for myself mentally, given very little guidance and tossed into an international christian school.
im a dark humor kind of person, only because ive lived a life that can only be defined as dark yet humorous. theres alot of highs and great stories and alot of lows that make me want to drink to forget.
thats life i guess.
To sit in one country and believing you can solve all problems without looking to the rest of the world for help is like trying to cure a disease without searching the globe for the cure

Tattoo thoughts #1
Tattoos should be less about graphic content and more about holding aesthetic form with the body. Symbols and shapes and flow imagery - less faces, animals and real world imagery that would serve as more a distraction to the body and person wearing it. It should sit natural and look as if it belongs with the wearer and not be in start contrast to who is wearing it.

In jail for New Years
As i was prepping to go camping with a friend of mine, we turned a corner and realized cops were behind us. Sirens flash and we start getting nervous.
Turns out the cops pulled us over because his plate light on one side was out. also likely they saw a thick black man with dreads with a japanese plate and were looking for a reason to pull said black man over. well after they were done with him they checked my credentials and they found that i was almost a year late on renewing my registry card for my staying here. things escalated and im told to get in the cop car and am taken to the main police department in the area to ‘talk with a superior officer’. after alot of fussing and pushing questions im told that im under arrest and watch as my friend is helpless to do anything as he is forced away from me.
they told me i would stay for 10-20 days and that had me stressed out AF. i ended up staying in there for about 3 days and miss my new years.
when i watched the barred door close on me and the translators apologizing to me for the scenario i couldnt help but weep as i lay down and try to sleep only to be woken by sick men in the next cell who turned out to be crystal meth heads as i found out later.
i find a moment to finally close my eyes and start to lull to sleep when i hear the soft explosions of distant fireworks signalling the start of 2017. ill admit i shuttered in silent sobs and started thinking about how if i stayed here the lengthed they told me i would that my rat ‘Lemon’ would likely die of starvation and i couldnt tell anyone about her while i was here.
The thought made things so much worse. Turns out my lovely friends managed to break into my apartment while i was away and fed her and cleared my place of anything personal i would have liked to keep in case i was being deported.
so now i live the after math, trying to pick up the pieces to find some way to stay here. ive been given a weeks time to gather everything from tax forms, birth cert, someone to sponsor me, work cert, proof of residency, etc.
i have to stay optimistic. i love this place and its the only place i can call home.
its hard though…i am almost completely broke and alot of this paperwork might not even be able to make it to me on time.
I’ve been more stressed than this in life. doesnt mean its not its own path of complications. i believe it will work out. its the best thing ive got right now. i need to push and get my shit together. i know i can do this
