please help a trans man to stop being homeless
hey guys, my name is beck and im currently in the central florida/northeast orlando area. im also technically homeless. my roommate and i keep hitting rough patch after rough patch and theres no skin on us left to keep trying to scrape by.
i lost my job close to the beginning of october due to me being physically incapable of doing the job. my friend recently lost her job as well due to them merging her department with another when the company got sold.
we have been trying to scrape by, and have had several job interviews each but we end up not being able to commit to the jobs because we just dont have enough money for gas to get to them. now we dont have enough money for renting a lot for our camper that we live out of either.
we have been parked for a while in parking lots with no electricity, water, or plumbing and we still have no way of getting anything stable. if you are or know anyone in the orlando area (preferably close to seminole county) that has a house or some land with even just electricity hook ups that would be willing to let us park our camper there, we would be able to do work around the place for them until we get a job and start getting paychecks coming in to actually pay for rent.
if you arent in that area or dont have a place but still want to help, even pocket change can make the difference right now because we have no money for gas or for food. we have been trying to utilize all the resources we can get our hands on but charities arent willing to help us with rent and the ones that are have a two month waiting list. we have a way to get really cheap groceries but that market is about an hour away from where we are right now.
if we can somehow get 116 bucks and change we could get a week parked at a local state park and at least be able to have water and electricity. im trans and i have pretty much no family and i have chronic pain and no doctor that ive been to yet has been able to diagnose me. my roommate has absolutely no family, she was raised in a cult, and has no one that can help either.
i hate begging in any capacity but we have been fighting this battle since june with no hope. if my roommates ex husband finds out we are homeless, he will file with the courts to get full custody of her son. he abuses her son and he wants nothing more than to be able to get away from his dad, and if he is able to get full custody, then my roommate will literally have nothing else to live for.
i dont have a goal for how much money we need because at this point, all we can hope to do is scrape by and hope for another week, hope that we are able to land a job somewhere and be able to actually get to the job. its terrifying and we have no outs.
