After watching McElroy stuff I’m... like... genuinely not finding RT/AH stuff entertaining anymore which almost bums me out because RT/AH has been a huge part of my internet experience but man so many of their jokes are just not... okay... for me personally... and while McElroy content is not perfect it comes from a good place most of the time and they seem to genuinely try to be okay and inclusive while RT/AH like. Does. Not try much at all.

The same kinda thing's happened to me! Like, my parents go on tons of trips and the whole time I was in college they'd just like... plan em and take my sister along without me

OKAY selfishly I’m glad it’s not just me, but at least when I was in college it was the “oooh spring breaks don’t line uuuup so we don’t even bother aaasking” sort of deal, which makes more sense. But for the past two spring breaks we’ve... had the same week for spring break... so... their excuse is a little thin (especially since they usually bring some of my sisters’ friends too so lmao) BUT like I said I’m kind of glad it’s. Not just me. We can just. Have a really awesome DnD party and noT INVITE THEM HAHAHA

It’s really validating to hear someone immediately kind of?? Removed?? Say that it’s weird?? Like, my mom (my parents are divorced but had evenly split custody of me all my life) is always like “yeah your dad and step mom are kind of assholes” but nothing quite says ‘fuck you’ quite like suddenly getting pictures from my step mom of selfies of them on the beach like “I wish you were heeere!!”

Okay, maybe I’m being selfish, but my family (like dad, sisters, step-mom) go on a vacation every year without telling me or inviting me and I feel like it’s weird. Like, I’m older now and don’t live at home but?? I was texting my step mom like “Yeah spring break is coming up! Any plans?” and she goes “Oh yeah we’re going on a cruise of the Bahamas” and I’m just like... isn’t this a... thing... that you tell your daughter? Like you don’t need to invite me just. It seems. Weird.

I always feel guilty about rambling on tumblr dot com because 1) i know that these kind of posts always seem very attention-seeking and 2) i really don’t intend on them seeming attention-seeking. But it’s a good place for me to type out my thoughts, let them simmer in a public space for a hot minute, and then reassess.

Right now, I just feel like my entire self is about 4 existential crises sort of bundled into one hot mess and I’m not 100% sure what to do about it. I just. Kind of want to sink away and disappear for like 3 months straight but that doesn’t seem very productive.

1) Hate my job 2) Hate my body 3) Hate my abilities and lack thereof

And maybe if I leave for a while one of those three things could sort of right itself out. My anxiety level for the past month or so has been through the roof which results in some hella intense depression kickbacks and I’m just sitting here in a constant state of mental “???????????”
