☁~ She hadn’t been friends with the girl too long, but Analise was fairly fond of the girl she’d managed to befriend. Fond of the bonds she’s managed to form, of the life she was leading… The life Ana was going to end.
But this one deserved special treatment. She had loved ones, important people that would miss her if she was gone. Ana wouldn’t keep her as a trophy, no, not for herself. The others could have her back.
There really was no better place to invite her than to her home’s personal library; that might have been why she’d managed to make her acquaintance in the first place. Ana’s parents liked to collect books from many places which maaay have been something the cloud had used to her advantage. Today was one of those days where Tokiko sat in Ana’s library and the cloud showed the idol something she hadn’t seen on the previous visit.
This time, though, that wasn’t a book; once Ana managed to drag the girl out of her library, she brought her to the front of the house to peruse the statues out front. It was getting dark out, so the other was protesting that she should leave, but Ana insisted this was special, something that perhaps Tokiko would like to see, even in the dark. Thank goodness she’d lost track of time in the library and stayed this late.
Once she had led her prey to the spot she’d chosen for her dirty work, Tokiko found there was nothing there. Only a silent Ana claiming “It is not where it should be, how odd. Please wait here a moment…”
It was at this point Ana put her powers to work, draining the air out of Tokiko’s lungs. She gasped, or tried to, and Ana came rushing back to check if it was okay. Good thing she’d been taking acting lessons from the others, but then again the cloud was good at maintaining her cool in any situation. Tokiko motioned to show she was choking, and Ana made it look like she was trying to help, even though she wasn’t. Every time the girl took a breath, Ana took it away again, suffocating her. She turned blue, then collapsed, hands still at her neck attempting to get air. She wasn’t dead yet, not quite. Ana had a plan for the final nail in Tokiko’s coffin.
She giggled quietly, and lifted the body on air, the air Tokiko could not manage to get into her lungs, and smiled. “Almost at your limit, correct? It is interesting to see how humans react to life without air; it is difficult, is it not?” Ana spoke while leading the body beside her, Tokiko still struggling in midair, occasionally managing to get some air in her lungs but only because Ana wanted to keep her right at the edge of her life.
They came around front, the darkness masking their presence as Ana moved her hands, levitating the body over the entrance to her own mansion. Medium wrought-iron gates with spires at the sides were open, and soon Tokiko was hovering over one of those spires.
"I would ask you for your final words, but I do not believe you would be able to give them… I hope you enjoyed your life, my friend." With the calmest smile Ana had ever worn, she relinquished the cushion of air Tokiko had been floating on, causing her to fall on the spire. There was no scream, only a squelch and the cracking of bones as the iron rammed through her body. Ana gave her hard work a nod, and went inside to bed.
That morning she went outside, saw the body and screamed; a nearby neighbour came running and saw the sight, calling the police. Ana, however, called all of Tokiko’s friends, telling them where she’d found her, some of them coming even before the police did to console the cloud on the horrific sight she’d seen that morning. The cloud did most of the consoling though, working her way into the minds of the crying friends Tokiko had left behind.
They wouldn’t be away from her for long. ~☁
