As someone who could not draw to save their life, I find the whole concept of using AI for the sake of creating ‘art’ and justifying it by any variations of “well I can’t draw anyway” or “it’s easier than learning” incredibly odd beyond the surface level silliness. Like, I am so in love with art even in forms that I myself cannot create in. Painting and sketching and the whole genre is something that can be loved, in my opinion at least, with and without a pencil in hand. What I mean is that there are so many ways to appreciate art through museums, books, following artists’ journeys, and instead so many have decided that ripping off the medium and feeding it into a machine is a more worthwhile way to enjoy it, and I cannot fathom how they got there.
