Notes and a coin
The flashes of colors bursting from the screen as a Wuxia fight scene continues to play. Silently you and a certain perro from the LDA were too focused to even give the thought to look around you another look.
As the action got more intense you were at the edge of your seat as you rooted for the character you liked in the show.
"Come on…! Come onnnnn!!!"
"Oy- you two can you tone it down?" The weight beside your seat dipped as you felt something behind.
"Oh! Mr. Lee!" You're focused shifted from the screen to the face of a smiling Lung. The feeling of his tail slightly curling around your waist as Lee boredly smiled at you with his eyes closed.
"I didn't expect you to arrive, I guess I just got so absorbed in watching the show with Hung that I didn't even notice you." A small chuckle leaving your lips, scratching your head along.
Lee still had his closed eyed smile as he chuckled along with you.
You were currently here at the LDA to give an operation notice from the doctor to Mr. Lee but got swept up with Aak's antics leading to Hung getting you out of the feline's fur, even preparing a meal for you and now watching a Wuxia show with him.
"O-oh! Right right! I forgot, I'm supposed to give an operation request to you Mr. Lee, uhm if you don't mind, may we discuss the operation request in your office?" Your voice slightly carrying an embarrassed tone from being found like this.
Lee said nothing as he just smiled, you can't help but wave your hand in front of his snout.
"Terra to Mr. Lee? Terra to Mr. Lee??? Helloooo???"
"A-ah! Ahaha I must've fallen asleep there~ ahem." The lung stood up from his seat, the tail behind you following suit as you stood up as well.
"Oh I suppose you guys are gonna get to work, I'll clean this up then." Hung voiced as he paused the show on the tv.
“Yes, thank you again Mr. Hung for accommodating me.” You bowed as Lee waited for you in the corridor as you waved at Hung before walking in Lee's direction.
“Ah wait Mr. Lee, would you mind if I use the bathroom for a bit? I just need to freshen up before the meeting starts.” Lee quips a questioning look towards you. “Now now operator (Name), This isn’t some formal business meeting, you already look good.”
“Oh no it’s more of a personal thing, and besides you’re our partner Mr. Lee, I'd want to at least represent Rhodes Island as a respectable figure so please.” Lee let out a laugh, amused by your explanation. “Well now I can't deny you with that explanation. The bathroom’s just the 3rd door down the hallway.”
You thanked the Lung before making way to the bathroom.
As Lee saw your figure enter the bathroom, the door shutting, a deep sigh escaped his lips, he was sure his face was burning red if ever he was seen. He’d been watching you ever since he got back from strolling the streets, watching along with Hung. Your little quirks while watching was endearing to him, standing there observing as your face kept painting different emotions.
He didn’t know when it started but to his eyes you’ve become so lovely, so dearly close to his heart. Yet unwarranted fear crept to him, gnawing at him as his doubts crashed underneath those easygoing smiles of his.
Lee unconsciously walked towards the bathroom door, hearing your humming was enough to make his heart skip.
The Lung tried to speak but his voice couldn’t even dare to interrupt that angelic humming of yours, with a defeated sigh he only placed his hands in his pocket. As his hands reached for his pockets, he almost forgot that he’d had sticky notes given to him by a kid he helped for directions and strangely gave him sticky notes.
As if getting an idea, Lee grabbed a pen that was also conveniently in his pocket, writing down something on the sticky note, leaving it on the door of the bathroom.
Finally deeming that you were much more presentable than earlier, you stepped out of the bathroom with a satisfied and determined face. Looking around you can’t find Mr. Lee in the corridor. “Mr. Lee? Mr. Lee where-” You notice a sticky note on the bathroom door.
“I’m at the study ;>” You couldn’t help but snicker from the written emoticon. Mr. Lee must’ve written the note to know where he went. Without anymore dilly dallying, you went straight to Mr. Lee’s study.
Nearing the study, you saw another note on the ground and a coin next to it. Picking both up you read the note. “Ahhh I must’ve dropped my lucky special coin, care to return it to me?”
“Special lucky coin…?” Why does it suddenly feel like Mr. Lee is playing a trick on me?
Disregarding those thoughts, you continued towards his study arriving at the study door, knocking on it before entering.
“Mr. Lee what are these notes-”
“I like you-”
“Huh…?”
“Ah-”
You both stood there dumbfounded as you both processed what happened.
Lee was the first to speak with what you think was a blush on his face.
“(Name)! You’re already here-”
“What did you say, Mr. Lee?” You spoke, cutting his sentence as you stared at Lee with an intensity he didn’t know you had.
“Well- Uh- now now- what I mean to say is-” This was the first time you’ve seen Mr. Lee this flustered, a contrast to his calm and almost smug attitude.
“Agghhhh! Fine fine, I like you alright?” It felt like a damn had been lifted inside Lee’s chest as he said those words.
“Mr. Lee…? You like me…?” You stood dumbfounded as you gripped the sticky note and coin that was on your hands.
“YES! I mean. Yes, I have been liking you for a long time now I suppose… ahaaaa” Lee could only sigh as he rubbed his temples. “Well since this isn’t a secret anymore I have some explaining to do right?” The Lung could only chuckle as he sat down on with a sigh.
“You… (Name)... I don’t know when it started but every single time we’ve interacted it feels as if my heart would leap out of my chest, haha sometimes I’d even wonder if I’d become a Feranmut if my heart jumped enough, kidding of course.” Lee carried a look of adoration and affection that you’ve never even seen before.
“Mr. Lee-”
“Sorry it must be quite uncomfortable talking about this, let’s get on with wo-”
“Mr. Lee.” The second time you’ve cut him off. “I… Pffft!” You couldn’t help but start laughing from Mr. Lee’s, what you assume, confession. “I- Ahaha- “ You swore you saw Mr. Lee get a bit offended before laughing along with you.
“You like me?”
“I do.”
“Well, I can’t deny Mr. Lee’s feelings since I… aha… also like Mr. Lee in a romantical context.”
You felt your whole body propel forward, strong hands embracing you.
