for real tho how many times has syaoran ~read the room~ and calmly and astutely said “OK DADS ME AND MOKONA WILL BE GOING OUT FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS TO EXPLORE [ruined sunfish temple / suborbital mall complex staffed by sentient soundwaves / volcanic atoll / underground anarchist pastelgoth base / etc etc] YOU’LL BE COMPLETELY ALONE FOR THREE WHOLE HOURS K BYYYYYYYYYYE” and beaten a hasty retreat only to return a cautious three and a half hours later resignedly expecting to find them all gross and handholdy and cutesy in the afterglow but instead he walks in on fai barrel-rolling behind a three-foot pillow fort dual-wielding marshmallow guns with a pillowcase tied ceremoniously around his head and yelling “syaoran-kun! just in time! grab the beanbags and help me win this revolution once and for all!” while kurogane comes thundering down the corridor wearing a crocheted blanket as a toga and waving a lampstand while yelling “the left side of the bed is my side! why is this so difficult!” “you’re a tyrant and a bully and we the people of the united mattress front will endure your draconian duvet-hogging no longer!” fai insists as he straps makeshift cushion armour to syaoran’s chest
