genuine question doesn't malik hate altair or
Hate is a strong emotions, but doesn't stand alone. Hate contains frustration, anger, and the feeling of being trapped into a situation with someone that took your controll away from you. It's that loss of controll that frightens you and makes you hate somebody…that's what i can tell from experience at least.
I don't think Malik ever hated Altair, he had a lot of strong emotions towards him: frustration, guilt, betrayel, he felt the long bond of their relationship break in a second; the loss of trust in an instant.
But Altair felt the same bond break. His shame and guilt, his anger and his loss of controll, might have made him hate himself for what had happend, he saw the pain in Maliks eyes eachtime they crossed path. Altair saw the shame and the pain that he deserved reflect in Maliks eyes. He would have taken it from his friend if he could, no questions aksed.
For me it was always a matter of time, it was on Altair to repair their relationship and on Malik to forgive. In the games it is just a sentence on the side and no matter how much i wished they would've showed the journey and the ups and downs in the game, in the end it's on each of us to fill in the gap.
I always wanted to show their relationship as a really loving one, they need eachother in this world thats filled with enemies. A safe haven if you wish. But they are both scared to loose eachother in this world, but can't admit to it, bc once it's said there is no taking back.
So they are not talking, prepared to loose the other everyday, what makes their relationship even more intense. I never wanted to just gloss over their past, you simply can't, you have to consider all of what had happend and how it still affects them.
