I made a list of all the things Angeline is found to be good at/ fun facts in the various books I got a hold of;
-gets tutored to speak italian
-knows how to play guitar bc she took lessons
-had a chubby phase (therefore knows lots of nutrition facts)
-knows how to fix cars
-Fixed her own hair
-Can groom dogs because she learned hair ^
-Plays soccer
-babysits
-Didnt know how to jumprope
-Had a speech impediment when she was younger (Went by Annie)
-Is not good at school, went to summer school to catch up
-Only criminal record is thievery (mints from a teacher)
-Jealous of Jamie’s art skills and vocab
-good at magazine quizzes (trivia)
-Dances well
-Decent at poems / haikus
-RAISED 900 DOLLARS IN TOTAL FOR CHARITY (300 walkathon 600 jump a thon)
Now obviously these are amazing things that should be celebrated, but everyone at the school only loves her for her looks and surface level kindness, when in reality shes much more than that.
and that deeply upsets her.
She starts acting out by being rude and sassy JUST so people would stop stereotyping her as just a pretty face, which is COMPLETELY fair, she knows how to do so much and is learning and working hard every day!!! I love the fact she can fix cars and gave Aunt Carol an oil change!! I love how she only pretends to not know how to play guitar just so she doesnt show off when playing with Jamie and Isabella!! I love that she cleans up Stinker for Jamie so she doesn’t look ugly next to him in an art project and i LOVE how she uses her popularity for good!! Heres some examples of her going out on a limb for Jamie using her magic because shes gay because she cares!!
Also, heres a really, really important Angeline interaction that i think is so interesting for a kids book. Kinda unrelated but also pretty cool imo
And then lastly, in my FAVORITE book You Can Bet on That, Angeline and Jamie bet that Ang cant go without saying anything nice and Jamie the opposite, and Angeline finds it east to act mean because she’s channeling her jealousy for Jamie. It’s pretty entertaining how much more popular she gets for being mean tbh definitely worth a read, heres some bits I took as well, but in conclusion Angeline is probably one of the best characters in whatever genre of book DDD is and I will die on this hill how can you NOT love her?

The Summer Hikaru Died is so explicitly gay and homosexual it’s crazy. Watching the anime after reading the manga it’s so clear that Yoshiki is gay and has had a crush on Hikaru since they were kids. He’s felt ashamed of himself since forever. He’s a monster for loving another boy. And now he’s a monster for accepting a real monster. A real monster who shows affection. A monster who admits how he feels. A monster who will love him back.
It’s truly beautiful. This story of horror and the unknown mixes perfectly with the inherent horror of being human. The horror of trying to realize your own feelings in a society that doesn’t accept you.
I’m just kind of blabbing but honestly, this should be a piece of literature that gets talked about for centuries. The nuance and brilliance of this series is incredible.

Anyways. This is deeply painful but I legitimately think that Taka was better for Sasuke than team 7, at least at the time. I think that Sasuke's dynamic with Taka and its members just helped him more. Having people like Suigetsu, Karin, and Jūgo around were what he needed. People who didn't care about Konoha, who weren't trying to tell him what to do or that he was making mistakes, and people who just stuck by him because they felt that was what they had to.
People who were just fucked up too. Who knew what it was like to have lost everything and who knew what it was like to want to take revenge. People who had dealt with Orochimaru and who knew what it was like to want to take power back.
Team 7 couldn't be what he needed at the time no matter how much he loved them and they loved him because they had such opposing goals and viewpoints at the time. Sasuke couldn't be what they needed and they couldn't be what Sasuke needed just because of what they had going on.
And it pains me greatly <3
Volume 38 is quite an interesting volume, and its cover is more like a romantic novel cover. Kishi gives it an orange sky background. Orange it is a warm and vibrant color that can help to convey excitement, action, attraction, fascination and energy. Orange color commonly used in movie posters because these colors can evoke feelings of warmth, passion, which are ideal for certain genres such as action or romance. Orange represents desire, passion, and love. And Orange symbolizes love and happiness.
In this volume we see naruto's longing for Sasuke. Naruto is very happy or satisfied knowing that his chakra nature matches Sasuke's fire type. He developed Rasen-Shuriken by continuously keeping Sasuke in his mind.
After being hospitalized due to the after-effects of using the Rasenshuriken, he and Sakura are alone here, this is his best chance to flirt with her, but he reverts back to Sasuke again. He is not worried about the consequences of using Rasenshuriken. Instead he emphasizes about how they're getting closer to Sasuke and is very happy about it.
In the previous scenario, Naruto was brainrotting about Sasuke, and when sai & sakura approached him he lied that he was devising a date with Sakura. If you say he lied because he didn't want to worry her about Sasuke…if that's the problem, then he shouldn't lie about dating her when he's thinking about another boy. He could have said, "I was just thinking about Sasuke…how to save him…blah blah blah…" Kishimoto could have easily done something like this, but he spent an entire page showing that Naruto lied about thinking about a date with a girl, but the fact is that he was thinking about a boy this whole time. To them, they don't know what's on his mind... but to the readers, it gives a hint that he's gay but closeted (trying to hiding it from others). His lying makes it more ambiguous and more obvious that he loves Sasuke...but not in a brotherly or friendly way.
While eating ramen with his teammates at Ichiraku, Naruto suddenly looked unhappy, quiet, depressed, and soulless.
Sasuke is what makes Naruto so determined. He developed the Rasenshuriken to save Sasuke from Orochimaru. He doesn't mind getting seriously injured while using his jutsu as long as he gets to closer to Sasuke and able to rescue him. So, when it comes to Sasuke, Naruto won't listen to anyone's advice to the contrary, no matter who gives it and how well-intentioned. That's why he suddenly shut Kakashi up with a smile.
Come to think of it, it wasn't the first time he shut others down when the subject was about Sasuke. Even though he was wrapped in bandages, his irritation was visible in his eyes. He doesn't care what happens to him, all that matters to him is Sasuke, which is why he doesn't like it when others try to get in between him and Sasuke or trying to stop him.
When Sasuke sees the bridge, he remembers Naruto and reacts to it with a calm gentle smile. While Sasuke is in his world of nostalgia he doesn't even hear Suigetsu talking to him.
Although the two do not interacting, yet, they are thinking about each other in this volume.

sasunaru is soo canon. its still canon in 2024. been canon since the day that manga was launched. canon in boruto, canon in shippuden, canon in naruto original series. it’s canon in every fucking universe.
the absolute love i have for sasuke and naruto's relationship. they're enemies, they're best friends. they are each other's first kiss. they nearly killed each other. they're soulmates. they have been divorced 40 times. they're the ones who understand each other to their molecular level. they're destined to be with each other, forever and ever.
Other characters, including Sakura herself see her “love” for Sasuke as a burden. Whereas Naruto, wants to take on Sasuke’s burdens because he loves him.
we talk a lot about how sasuke and naruto are so crazy about each other but there’s never enough attention on how the rest of the naruto cast Also thinks they are two fucking lunatics. like we are not alone on this. you have jiraiya telling naruto he needs to not go and chase a mf who tried to snatch his heart out his ribcage and naruto is like no i’d rather be a fucking moron for the rest of my life honestly. you have naruto leaving a mission and saying sory i cannot stay i need to go home and wait for sasuke and the fucking platypus looks at him ???? like he even had me confused where are you goin g to wait? ? why are you saying that like sasuke is coming back the fuck did i miss??? you have the kage summit arc which is just a whole bucket of ice being dropped onto you because you come in and immediately get slapped in the face by naruto letting himself be beat up because he won’t tell them where sasuke is??? like he has any fucking idea where sasuke is. and sai tries to make him come to his senses like naruto??? naruto WHAT ARE U DOING. it’s so bad they need an intervention. right after that naruto faces the raikage and gets on his knees saying i know my almost boyfriend almost killed your brother but i promise it wasn’t on purpose he was just being silly please don’t put a bounty on his head a war will literally ensue. and like. there’s LAYERS to this. 1. even RAIKAGE is like BOY what are you doing. STAND UP. 2. at this point you can count the people who like sasuke on the fingers of one hand like WHO is gonna start a war over him… naruto out there moving a war against a whole country by himself over his bf ok you go girl i guess. after this it gets even worse like gaara has to go up to him and be like SASUKE DOWSNT CARE ABOUT YOU. HE DOES NOT WANT YOU. and naruto just slaps his hand away in front of his family like rude?????? ignoring anything it is hilariouuusssss and then sai is like sorry. sakura lied to you they are actually off to kill sasuke and naruto gets a panic attack so severe he passes out. like i am not joking it was so bad his friends tried to kill sasuke behind his back. and then naruto escapes bedriddenment (is that a word?) after passing out from his panic attack to run and make sure NOBODY kills sasuke. like he’s on a RUSH leaping those trees he’s a boy on a mission. then after he gets there he’s like kakashi DO NOT TOUCH HIM. they launch themselves at each other bla bla gay monologues did you see what was in my heart and then. and then naruto is like. wait sasuke. and sasuke waits like sorry that’s such a little thing but it’s so funny to me like sasuke was just acting a lil murderous crazy manic wtv but naruto told him to wait and he waits. ok good boyfriend. anyways moving on naruto is like do you get it sasuke. if we fight again we will BOTH DIE!
