Inspired by a fun filled day and watching previous out takes videos I decided to make this video of the She Creature Jewellery interview out takes.

Enjoy!
My final outcome is an interview I conducted with my friend Laura. Laura runs a small business working from home called ‘She Creature Jewellery’. She makes a range of hand made and personalised items ranging from jewellery and fashion to gifts and home ware.
(Hard copy of final outcome evaluation to be handed in.)
Auto Pilot
This is me on speedy auto pilot especially the week before deadline.
Experimenting with angles and speed on the editing software, 4x faster here.
I am having some difficulties uploading some of my work. Some of my videos are being linked to my blog from external sites because of this.
More Practice.
A still shot of my cats grooming and turned black and white.
I decided to see what my earlier garden film would look like in black and white. I love black and white photography and feel the same about this film in black and white.
I watched a one of special film the other day called Cyberbully, I thought it was a brilliantly simple piece of filming.
Interesting.....
Mr and Mrs Smith Trailer
Over the weeks I have found myself practicing styles and techniques as and when I can. I hope I can improve everything I am learning more and more over the entire course and look forward to learning more.
I find myself watching my daily dose of soaps and critiquing the filming, good or bad. I can tell when I see a good shot and can pick out a not so good shot. I am a bit of a film fanatic also and find myself studying the filming while watching those to. I was watching Mr and Mrs Smith the other day and picked out a few shots I really liked, although my partner wasn't impressed with me yelling 'nice shot' 20 times throughout the film.
I cant wait to put the knowledge I am gaining from my lessons and everything into further practice.
Recently we had a little bit of snow and I had just purchased a time lapse remote control. Using the time lapse remote control I could set my camera up on a tripod to take shots at intervals of my own choosing recording a scene. Here I have recorded the snow melting in my garden.
I set the timer to take a shot every 30 seconds and left the camera outside until most of the snow had melted, in total the camera was outside for 3 and a half hours.
The human eye would never normally see this happen but with the power of technology and new media we can witness nature in all its beauty :)
This video was inspired by music by Nine Inch Nails, provided by our tutor.
I felt the music was slightly erratic but at the same time the steps in the song implied stages as an artist would take. I felt that the throwing of the paint and the frustration of the creative process matched well.
I felt I needed vibrancy in the video to enhance the subject matter.
I used different lenses to capture different things, for example my 50mm for close up shots and stunning bokeh effects due to its wide aperture or my telephoto for real magnification and my 18mm - 55mm for general wide angle shots.
In the video I have used a range of skills and techniques that I have picked up over the weeks and am generally happy with the outcome of this video.
One of my favourites.
An experiment with audio and video footage. Here using editing software I have made it look as if my male fellow student is speaking with a female voice. I did this using my home PC and Movie Maker editing software. I began by importing the video footage of him and then turned his volume right down to 0. No I choose 'Add music' from the tab and selected audio and video, which when I selected the video of me it imported the audio only part of my video. So now I had my voice, a female voice overlapping his voice. The audio was not matching up completely and there for I had to select the audio bar and move it around until it matched with his lip movements.
This experiment was fun to do but again I think some refining is needed.
I am learning all the time :)
In the garden I practised my own filming styles. The day was damp and dull so higher ISO was used and a nice wide aperture which also gives a lovely depth of field. I love the in and out focusing I used here and the hand held feel adds to this film I think. I added nature sounds to this video to add to the theme.
Here is a screenshot of the free audio downloading site I have been using. Its a great site, it has a search bar where I can type in the key word or theme of music I am looking for and it will bring up everything it has under it.
Another of the in class tasks we had to undertake was to create a stop motion. This required us to take a series of images as stills, turning the packet slighty between each shot and then to stitch them together in Final Cut. Then I altered the speed so that they played in quick succession. This made the packet appear to be animated.
One of my tasks for media studies was to produce a 5x5 video. I choose to film the kids playing the Playstation, on the well known and popular game Minecraft. A 5x5 consists of 5 frames of 5 seconds each. I filmed my oldest on the control pad and then my youngest, I shot this close up to reveal the detail and intensity of their finger movements in the game. I revealed their Minecraft guide book, which they regularly use for help in the game. A shot of the PlayStation itself and finally a clip of the screen to show the game in motion. I added a sound effect of a ticking clock to this film, i felt this demonstrated one the time they spend on this game and two intensity of a game.
I shot this film using a 50mm lens and a wide aperture giving the film a lovely depth of field.
