Not realizing that by wording it like that is basically confirming that he does have feelings for him. Again. First with Tommy. Then with Maddie sort of. "Shouldn't he be the one asking those questions?" He didn't want to force him through any realizations he may or may not have.
That response makes him hum, noting what Buck has just admitted, even if he hasn't noticed what he said. "That you know of." Because from what he can tell, it seems like Buck is operating on assumptions and not what he's actually dicussed. "Did you ever question your sexuality before the option was in front of you? The offer to help, so freely and easily given, made Bonnie smile to herself softly. “You’re helping like this.” Being here, listening, not asking for more than Bonnie was ready to give - it made her feel seen. She wasn’t just the witch on call, everyone’s go to plan no matter the costs to herself. She could just be Bonnie. She couldn’t remember who just Bonnie was before she got here. “But hey, I wouldn’t say no to helping me find a job.” Bonnie laughed softly and tilted her head to look up at him. “Make my stay feel more permanent.” Put down some roots so nothing would drag her back to Mystic Falls.
"Okay." Much as he wanted to do more, he was glad that this was helping her. As long as he could, he would happily be there to help her, to support her here. Another kiss was pressed to her head before he looked at her, an eyebrow raised as he considered it. "If you don't mind odd hours, I'm pretty sure that Penny could use some help at the bar. It's a lot of sailors, pilots, and marines but she runs a tight ship." He raised a shoulder in a shrug, "And she loves me so the fact we know each other means she'll probably love you."
He chuckled at getting the reaction that he was hoping for. “Have you tried telling him that?” Because it really didn’t seem like Rooster was fully aware of what the team dynamics were. Jack knew but Jack was always with them. Of course, Jack could always try talking to him, he just doesn’t think it would be as effective. “I’m sure he was quite happy to help you with that little display.”
Jake hummed softly, not wanting to admit that he hadn't corrected Bradley about what the relationships were like here because that would mean talking about Bradley seeming jealous. He wasn't sure if that was a conversation he wanted to have yet. Or at all. That wasn't something he was sure he was ready to face. "I sincerely doubt that. Even if it was very effective at getting that guy to back off... eventually."
