Enjoy this photo of Christopher Newport Hall and the Trible Library. I took it Saturday on my last day of my fourth year :)

I had some free time before my last class yesterday so I went to the Farmer’s Market on campus for the first time.

Trible Library Part 2
Friday February 22, 2019
As mentioned before, Christopher Newport University was established in 1960. Even though CNU has been around for quite some time, most of the buildings were built/opened within the past 14 years, making it seem as if it’s a new university. With CNU being as “new” as it is, it has offered many students great opportunities. We are fortunate enough to have state of the technology and resources. Down below are a list of CNU’s most notable buildings and when they were opened.
The Ferguson Center for Arts (2005)
David Student Union (2006)
Paul and Rosemary Trible Library (2008)
McMurran Hall (Original Christopher Newport Hall- opened 2010)
Mary Brock Forbes Hall (2011)
Joseph W. Luter III Hall (2013)
Christopher Newport Hall (2015)

In 1960 Christopher Newport College was established, later becoming Christopher Newport University (CNU) in 1992. In 1977 Christopher Newport gained independence from the College of William and Mary, where they used to be a two year branch.

In comparison to last week’s cold weather, today’s high was 67 °F. It was so nice out that my programming professor let us out 15 minutes early so we could go join everyone else on the Great Lawn.
Hey everybody and welcome to CNU Adventures!
[About Me]
I’m Melanie and I’m in my fourth year of applied physics at Christopher Newport University. I am working towards my Ph.D in astrophysics. I love the cosmos and am extremely curious about the unknowns that are yet to be found. In my free time I like to do artwork, collect watches and make jewelry.

It’s been so cold on campus that I haven’t had much of an opportunity the past few days to walk around during my breaks. The photo above was taken Thursday night, it’s a picture of CNU’s cafe, Einstein’s. Einstein’s is one of the most popular hangout/study spots on campus but with the super cold weather it was almost empty. It was actually a video but it was so cold that the camera froze lol.
