Explaining to @0chr1s0 how stepping in to the plate too much might be affecting him when he plays and practices. Based on the games I have watched Chris play, he hits the ball pretty well to the middle and right side of the field but seems to struggle on pitches inside. He hits grounders, let’s pitches go by that are strikes on the inside corner or pulls the ball way too much on a inside pitch...sometimes stepping in to the plate can lock the back hip from going through. Yes, Giancarlo Stanton has a closed stance now (he didn’t used to have it) but his approach is different than anybody else, he has massive power and he is 9ft tall...he knows how to handle the pitch inside really well but it only works for him because he is that strong and knows what he can handle...sometimes you will face pitchers with a nice 2seam fast ball that runs right into your hands and you will break a lot of wood bats in your baseball career...if you think that stepping inside the plate is affecting your swing and you are not hitting the pitch inside well, make sure you switch something on your routine and work a little bit more with the pitch inside and see what you can handle...everyone has an unique swing and you need to figure out what’s yours and works for you.If you have any advice or problems that you see about Chris’s swing feel to comment...always open to new opinions, perspective and ways to teach the game. #baseball #beisbol #hitting #biomechanics #youthbaseball #hsbaseball #collegebaseball #sarasota #florida (at Sarasota, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuPmhwkgRti/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1nqy61ly3t33s
