This video has given me an interesting idea for a dragon ball oc. Their name is Clipp, and heâd be a ninja character. Sheâd kickstart an arc Iâd call the Paradise Lost saga, which as the name suggests, would be about Mr Satan losing favor with the public. Clippâs main motivation is to figure out what happened during the part of the buu saga that was erased from everyoneâs memories. They know that the unclear period (which Iâm gonna take something from the video and call it the great fog) started the day of the world martial arts tournament and ended when Mr Satanâs weird bodyguard, Mr buu, appeared, so he decided to start her investigation there. There was something sketchy about the world tournament anyway, with how Mr buu would win every single one of his fights decisively and then seemingly lose on purpose to Mr satan, every single time. Clipp enters the next world tournament, and even manages to make it to the finals (they beat buu by tricking him into ringing himself out, which I donât think would be very hard to do). She backs Mr Satan into a corner (powerscaling wise, Clipp is on par with Mr Satan, so stronger than the average human, but nowhere near any of the main characters) and Hercule does what Hercule does, and tries to bribe him. After this, the crowd starts booing, Clipp reveals a hidden microphone, and pushes Mr Satan out of the ring, becoming the new world champion. (This tournament is actually Clippâs introduction, everything before it is backstory). While being champion is nice and all, but she didnât get as much information as she wanted. He outed Mr Satan as a fraud, but they still werenât any closer to figuring out what caused the great fog. He decided to start on another lead. The great fog wasnât the only weird thing that had happened, so maybe investigating other weird stuff, such as the mysterious resurrections that happened every time some major threat appeared. Investigating this lead to her finding out about the dragon balls, so they steal the dragon radar from capsule corp (this part is why I made Clipp a ninja) and gathers the dragon balls. He then summons shenron on live tv, wishing for everyoneâs memories that were lost to the great fog be restored. Public opinion of Mr Satan was already lowered by the incident at the last tournament, but finding out that his mysterious assistant had killed everyone? That would make everyone turn against him, and the arc would start going into motion.
I created Clipp because I thought it would be interesting for the main characters to have to deal with a problem that couldnât be solved by just beating up the bad guy. I also liked the idea of having an antagonist that isnât really villainous in any way, but is put in conflict with the main characters for a different reason. I thought dragon ball could use something different like that. Anyway, some fun facts about Clipp!
-Attacks are named after classic works of literature. They have an ultimate attack called inferno (named after Danteâs inferno) which is essentially like a super explosive wave, but it can be controlled (for example, it can be made to avoid people that Clipp doesnât want to get hurt)
-since humans in dragon ball are named after random objects, the name Clipp comes from paper clip, which I chose because of how it can be used as a lockpick
