Did you know that the Amerika Haus was built in 1956-57 on the occasion of the International Building Exhibition “Interbau”, based on the design plans of the architect Bruno Grimmek. Until 2006 it served as the cultural and information centre of the United States of America in Berlin – including a cinema, library and exhibition spaces.
