COBIT is the acronym for “Control Objectives for Information and related Technology”. As the name suggests, it is the de-facto framework for Information & related technology (IT) governance & management.
COBIT 5 defines five Governance processes and four Management domains (32 processes). Within each process, Evaluate, Direct and Monitor (EDM) practices are defined with the responsibility areas of Plan, Build, Run and Monitor (PBRM).
