The Belgian painter and photographer Jan Yoors spent a big part of his life in New York. With his camera he recorded the many different worlds within the city. On one occasion he spotted singer Sam Cooke sitting at a table at the Palm Cafe in Harlem surrounded by friends and band members. More photos by Jan Yoors can be seen at the Red Star Line Museum in Antwerp until April 10th 2016.
