I recently finished my internship (small thing left to do but no longer required to use 8 hours daily). This means that I have been able to just work on my thesis and dive deep into the literature - at last!

Research design for my thesis is due tomorrow. I'm making adjustments and just praying this will be accepted.

I'm currently in a hotel this week as I'm on a mission for work. It's nice, it's comfortable, it's easy to just go home after a 9 hour workday and do nothing... But that's not going to work for me. I'm still counting down the days until deadline. 135 days left.

It really feels hard to balance full time work and at the same time try to live up to being a student full time.

Thankfully, my work contract ends in a few weeks and then I'll be able to fully focus on university. Until then, I'm going to have to focus less on work and more on uni because work is endless and my uni is at its season finale- I have to finish it!!

Don't you despise having to let down colleagues when you're actually just trying to get things done?

The path ahead is overwhelming, I see the mountain and I want to go slow and enjoy the climb, but I just can't wait to get to the top. However, if I rush too much, I might miss the beautiful details.

That's how I'm currently feeling about my final academic paper and the largest the thesis- before graduation.

I have been gathering so many articles and I know the fun part begins once you start reading but at the same time the journey ahead feels incredibly scary.

The importance of real breaks

Summer vacation has been purposely spent doing as little as possible because 1) I deserve it and 2) enjoying my time off means that I both have time to miss my uni routine and I get to recharge before the next semester.

More significant breaks should be used as a way to reflect upon the academic term. This can only be done if you let yourself take time off. Therefore, I recommend that you take those breaks when you need them. Then, recharge and get back to work!

I defended my thesis and passed with the highest grade and I'm officially done with my BA!

Next stop: vacation and break time.
