People have been debating alcohol vs weed addiction a lot lately and I think that the thing that people miss is that they're so qualitatively different that a quantitative comparison isn't really meaningful. But also booze is absolutely worse.

Even a "mild" drinking problem will fuck your body your brain and then your life in an instant explosive fashion if you tip over the edge. A severe weed addiction will slowly shave percentage points off your capabilities and quality of life and you won't realize until you're already way deep in the hole.
