Got any tips for a new 3.5 DM?

Not so much 3,5 specific but in general, the group will always want to do something you have never even considered, and dont limit them just because you didnt plan for it. Get good at thinking on your feet ! and always have a little generic encounter stashed away up your sleeve that is level appropriate. Because believe me you group will find a way of bringing down that huge dragon 3 levels above them in a fashion much quicker than planned  !

Long time since I posted on here , thought id fill all the DMs that follow here that I am currently working on an iPad app for running games. been working on it for a little while but have not got hugely far with it yet. The main problem I am having is finding the best ways or harvesting all the data for NPC's and how to display everything nicely. Think im making some headway on this and with a break over xmas hopefully get the first release out!
