Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
hey, not sure if you've gotten this question before, but what are you inspirations for the rogues voice wise? do you take any inspo from other pieces of batman media?
There's a few places I've pulled from, but I admit, most of them were from voices that already existed.
Two-Face is just pulling from BTAS - I felt that Richard Moll (Rest in Peace) nailed the part and there was no grounds for improvement.
Batman is BTAS as well, or something close to it. Conroy (Rest in Peace) was top-tier tone in my opinion, with a slight change in how some things are said/delivered.
The Joker also started in the BTAS world, but when played side-by-side nowadays, my Joker differs a bit from Hamill (I can never match the man's laugh, so I just admit defeat).
Penguin had origins in Batman 66, because I love how Burgess Meredith (Rest in Peace) laughed (he wasn't a smoker, so his laugh was also a cough and I thought that was brilliant). I just added more of a posh accent and I think it worked. Meredith's granddaughter agreed, so that's a win!
Edward came from a few places - starting as more of my actual voice and ending in a world of its own. The main delivery, however, came from an older Hollywood era - Jack Lemmon specifically (Rest in Peace... good heavens, they're all dropping).
Jonathan was someone who needed to sound completely different from Edward so people didn't think it was the same person voicing both guys. The accent came from reading that he was from Georgia, and I hadn't really heard many other versions incorporate the accent. I'm NOT saying I was the first to do it (I don't need to be reminded, thank you)! I just hadn't heard many people do it before.
Bane is based on Ricardo Montalbán (Rest in Peace) because that man was pure class, and he was so big on honour - I felt that if he were a younger man, he would have definitely voiced Bane at some point.
Waylon was based on some old guy I remember from Jackass when Pontius was getting a snapping turtle biting his nose. I remember the way he yelled "RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER" and I thought the voice was fun. It's evolved a bit since - added more of a growl to it, but that's where it started.
Jervis was based on Peter MacNicol's take from Arkham Asylum. I loved his portrayal, and long for the moment when it's Jervis' voice we hear down a long, empty hallway.
Harley began in the realm of Arleen Sorkin (Rest in Peace), and I give Dee big kudos for staying on with that voice. There was a LOT of flack thrown Dee's way when we started it, and there's been a lot of other Harley's in the mix since, but it was VERY disheartening in the beginning to just have EVERY Harley voice held up against Sorkin.
Selena's delivery is based on Rosa Diaz, but only in how terse and deadpan her delivery is. Lucia adds her own magic to the role now, and I'm excited for when she's back in the mix! It may even be... the NEXT EPISODE! Ohhhh!!
Uhm... Jason is just a shameful pull of Jensen Ackles, Alfred is along the lines of Charles Dance, Superman is Patrick Warburton, Cosmo is trying to be Harvey Fierstein (my idol), Alastor will be Tim Curry, and... I'm sure I have others that I've forgotten, but I'll add on as they pop into my head.
In short, I'm doing the best I can and I'm very sorry.

In the KINDEST way possible, I need a perverts opinion, and I know they tend to gather here 🩷
In 6 weeks I'm going in for a double mastectomy due to cancer, and I'm absolutely mortified. Im not a very sexual being. In fact in quite the prude, which makes all the attention to the area worse. But I like the way my body looks. Ive always been indifferent to them.
Now I have to undergo a big surgery, long recovery, and a sense of losing a body part my partner is VERY attracted to, (hes a boob guy unfortunately) and I simply have lost all my confidence. My doctor told me they can make the scars look clean but a tummy I hadn't worried about before is definitely going to take presence over my front half instead.
I think what Im saying is- is there a world were I would still be considered attractive in....that way? I feel like Im going to zero in on myself and not be able to even consider sex after this. I'm still very much a girl, this is not a gender affirming care, I would say it's a life saving one, but very much dysphoria gifting as well. And no, I do not have the ass to make up for it.
I'll put the reply below the cut - because I ramble.
I'll add on as well, if people have similar stories, please share them. I think we all know how isolating these situations can be, and bringing light into someone's life is never a bad thing.
As a man, I feel that most of what I would say on this matter can be met with a resounding “Oh what do YOU know?” because this isn’t an experience I can fully relate to, so I brought this ask to Dee first to get her thoughts for you as well:
“I like my boobs too. But if they were the equivalent of ticking time bombs sitting on my chest then you bet your ass they're getting tossed out the nearest window to explode elsewhere.
My husband loves my boobs too, but I know for a million percent fact that he loves me more, so while we'd both be sad and needing an adjustment period afterward, he'd still be the first to tell me to get rid of them as soon as you possibly can what are we even talking about this for?!
Implants can be done afterward, if you still want boobs (see Angelina Jolie), but battle scars, signs of struggle and survival, are always sexier than the blobs of fat you were given by virtue of genetics.
TLDR: Out of empathy I'm a tiny bit sad for your partner, but I'm sadder for you - this is going to be a hard time where you're going to have to get to know yourself all over again and learn to like what you see. I sincerely hope your partner loves you for who you are, not your boobs - it's the least that you deserve.”
My thoughts align with Dee’s, but I’ll jot them down for you regardless:
There is no denying that this is going to be an adjustment, and in this horrendous world we’ve created with the standards of beauty ALREADY being ridiculous, I imagine there’s going to be a long road ahead before you feel as comfortable with yourself as you might have before.
That said, surviving is sexy.
I think what would be hardest on me is knowing that you’re going to feel different about yourself, and my only suggestion would be to believe your partner when he says he still thinks you’re beautiful/stunning/sexy/pretty. It will do you NO GOOD to constantly second guess your partner, or thinking they’re lying to you just to make you feel better.
I know Dee would take it rough, and I know she’d think I thought differently about her without her breasts, but I would rather spend every day I have left on earth telling her how beautiful she is than telling her gravestone how much I miss her.
I can very much say that there is a world where you’re going to be considered attractive! So many things are sexy – scars, bravery, tattoos (which is another option that looks… so damn cool), and as I said before; surviving!
I will admit again, I know my experiences don’t equate, but as someone whose leg has been, let’s say, rearranged after a stage accident, I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and not recognize a part of you. It’s jarring, but it slowly becomes you, and it sets you apart from other people, and that’s sexy too!
This is a start for you to make yourself even more unique, and I think you’re going to emerge from all of this a stronger, braver, sexier person than ever before.
I apologize if this sounds stupid or redundant; but are Patreon subscribers invited to a Discord server or is it just more of a chat?
The Patreon itself has its own chat centre built in, along with the new Quips they added (basically Patreon’s answer to Tweets), but there’s also a Discord.
Patrons just message me and I send them a link after asking a ridiculous amount of skill testing questions (or just one, depending on my mood).
I cant seem to remember whether or not you said once that you have a discord or groupchat for the rogues or not. If you do, I'd love to join please!! I just can't fully recall if it even exists, thank you :)
I don't have anything specifically geared for Rogues! chat - given how slow I am in getting episodes out, I reckon the conversation would dry up rather quickly.
I have one attached to my Patreon, but that's more of a general discussion spot, which occasionally drifts into Rogues! conversation when/if something interesting happens in the verse.
Im not 100% if you made a post like this but out of curiosity:
What does Codot mean or what inspired you to use this name?
I'm sure I've mentioned it once or twice, but I can't remember what I've written down vs. what I've said in streams.
I've always been a fan of Waiting For Godot by Samuel Beckett, which was a solid start, but then an old friend of mine (who was an avid fan of Phoenix Wright) commented on my coffee addiction, saying that I was like Godot from the game. Since my real name starts with a C, I could be Codot and thus a LEGEND WAS BORN.
Last year I ventured to Canada-land, and nowadays I’m back home in Ireland getting Toronto-fomo and Vancouver shivers.
I’d like to go back, and since you’re Canadian I had a little wondering— Top 3 favourite Canadian things I should try?
I tried Canadian 7/11, Denny’s, Walmart, all the wonders us europeans don’t have the pleasure of experiencing at home. But is there anything SPECIFICALLY Canadian that tickles your fancy?
The Top Three? Ohhh, you're not playing fair. Haha, I will try to limit myself.
My first two are a bit more vague than my third, but first on my list, I would suggest Quebec - be it Montreal or Quebec City, you're setting yourself up to witness a truly unique side of Canada. To most outside the country, it's the birthplace of Poutine, but there is SO much more. The culture, the people, the cinema - it's all an absolute treat to experience.
Next, I know you said Toronto, but I don't know what you did there, so I as "touristy" as it sounds, I do recommend you see the city from the top of the CN Tower. While you're downtown, I recommend the Royal Ontario Museum, or Ripley's Aquarium. If you enjoy baseball, it's always worth it to catch a game in the SkyDome (I refuse to call it the Rogers Center). Also, the food trucks downtown are just... [chef's kiss].
My third? Niagara Falls. Not the stores or the tourist nonsense, just... the falls. I have never witnessed such incredible power, and every time I go there, it continues to amaze me. Take the Hornblower (or the Maid of the Mist from the US side) and get right down to the base. It's... beyond words. Yes, they've built up a ridiculous tourist world around it, but it's still free to look at the falls, and I cannot recommend it enough.
There's so much more I can suggest, with each province bringing their own magic into the mix, but this would be my top three.
Also, get some Beaver Tails. Not... real ones - it's a sugary dough treat and they're delicious.
Obsessed over the fact that Jason and Bruce clearly worry about each other and the people around them but have no proper communication skills and just go for the jugular anytime they can.
Also I love hearing John get his ass kicked ❤ (he's a bag of straw that we should take turns jumping)
There will be a day when they can properly voice their feelings in a constructive and helpful manner...
