I’m so sick of them constantly shitting on cis muses, cis people, and muns that have genderbent aus for their muses. they think they’re some special little snowflake for having a trans steve rogers, which is completely unnecessary because it adds absolutely nothing to their character. if you didn’t read their info, you wouldn’t even know their character was trans. what was the point of making him trans if they aren’t factoring that into their portrayal???

Because trans people are people, abd you wouldn’t know someone’s trans by hanging out with them, out looking at them. Now I might not agree with them having a problem with gender bent muses. I for one have a trans Tony au, but no gender bents,I don’t think that gender bending is bad though.

But this is a really shitty way of insulting someone. Whether you’re straight or trans, whether your muse is straight,trans,or genderbent, you are valid, and don’t deserve to be hated or discriminated against. So stop being a dick, because someone has a different opinion, and just be nice to people.

Since i know some asshole is gonna scream out about there not being a source, The interview that is mentioned here is from Super Metroid Guide,  May 1994.  Pages 86-95. (at the bottom of this linked page). The article is an interview is an in-depth look at super metroid, but each developer was individually asked a series of questions, the 6th of which asks for “A secret of samus that only [they] know”. When asked this, Hirofumi Matsuoka (in the bottom middle of this linked page),  responds:

サムス は女ではなく,  じつはニューハーフである。

which essentially translates to “Samus is not a woman, as a matter of fact, she is transsexual”. Many “fan” sites mistranslate this into “she is a shemale”, but that’s not just a mistranslation of the word transsexual, but a pretty damn gross use of slurs.

But yeah, there ya have it. One of the greatest trans headcanons of all time is actually canon!
