normalize having interests.
guys. i swear. apparently, society decided its "shameful" or "childish" to actually care about things. especially if those things bring you comfort or joy.
you shouldn't have to be ashamed about your interests as long as they don't hurt anyone. you find a certain game or topic cool? you know a lot about the lore of this show, or a bunch of facts about a certain animal?
awesome. cause i wanna know. tell me about the things you care about.
special interests, hyperfixations, or just things you love and put a lot of time into.
cause if society is gonna shame us for having interests, i'm gonna shame them right back for telling us not to.

having internet friends is the same as having irl friends but backwards. when you first meet someone irl the first thing you see is your face, and the first thing you learn is their name. maybe you ask where they're from, what their family is like, what they like to do in their free time. you have to figure out if you want to be friends. but if you make friends over the internet, you already have a shared interest. you might learn each other's routines, timezones, different habits. but learning their real name is a big deal. face reveals are an even bigger deal. the things you usually first learn about someone are some of the last things you learn about someone you meet online. you're making friends, but backwards.

Whatever may be the truth about the racial affinities of the Indian and the European peoples, there is no doubt that Indo-European languages derive from a common source and illustrate a relationship of mind. In its vocabulary and inflexions Sanskrit presents a striking similarity to Greek and Latin.
Sir William Tones explained it by tracing them all to a common source.
'The Sanskrit language, He said in 1786, in an address to the, Asiatic Society of Bengal, 'whatever be its antiquity, is of a wonderful structure; more perfect than the Greek, more copious than the Latin, and more exquisitely refined than either; yet bearing to both of them a stronger affinity, both in the roots of verbs, and in the forms of grammar, than could possibly have been produced by accident; so strong, indeed, that no philologer could examine them all without believing them to have sprung from some common source which perhaps no longer exists.

We must go to India, where the oldest literature of an Indo-European people is preserved. For, whatever view we may adopt on the problem of the antiquity of Indian literature, we can safely say that the oldest monument of the literature of the Indians is at the same time the oldest monument of Indo-European literature which we possess.
History of Indian Literature, E.T. Wol. I (1927). P. 6. See also Bloomfield:
The Religion of the Veda (1908), p. 17. He says that the Rg Veda is not only 'the most ancient literary monument of India but also тАШthe most ancient literary document of the Indo-European peoplesтАЩ. тАЬThis literature is earlier than that of either Greece or Israel, and reveals a high level of civilisation among those who found in it the expression of their worship,' according to Dr. Nicol Macnicol. See his Hindu Scriptures (1938), p. XIV

Grief is a cruel kind of education. You learn how ungentle mourning can be, how full of anger. You learn how glib condolences can feel. You learn how much grief is about language, the failure of language and the grasping for language.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, from Notes on Grief
andrew garfield saying, тАЬi hope this grief stays with me because itтАЩs all the unexpressed love that i didnтАЩt get to tell herтАЭ about his mothers passing is so gut wrenchingly beautiful because we rarely talk about the love we want to express but canтАЩt, not because youтАЩre not brave enough to say it out loud but because theyтАЩre not here to listen to it anymore. calling grief the love you never had the chance to share makes it less of a burden and more of something you want to keep and not something terrible you want to move on from. i love love how everything about grief always comes down to тАЬwhat is grief if not love persevering?тАЭ

There are news that Iran's internet will be cut off soon and the national internet will replace the global internet. Similar to what happened in 2019. The difference is that last time there was no necessary infrastructure for the internet to remain national, but now, after three years, they have prepared themselves for this. If such things happens, people inside of iran won't be able to access any international platforms, not even email accounts or search engines like Google, even with a VPN.
If this news is true and if they actually do it, I have a request from people outside of iran: please do not forget us. Push for international powers to take actions more than before. You can easily find UN, UNICEF, and other human rights organizations relating email addresses so that you can email them and demand help for iran. You can also contact your representatives and governors. We won't stop our resistance, but we wouldn't know what will be going on even in our neighbor cities. So be our voice.
