(Are you alright with people reblogging your sphere pondering art? I know this is an rp blog, so I don't know if you're bothered by the notes numbers being affected by random likes and reblogs. Just wanted to ask, since I thought the post was fun.)

(( yes, go right ahead!! i made it to be as memeable as possible, after all. the rp culture on tumblr seems to have gotten really specific and picky since i was last active on here...? i built all my habits in the old-school days where we'd just reblog chain stuff and DM each other missed replies and track our own tags and whatever, so go nuts! the only caveat is that if you add a funny comment you might get an in-character response ;D hehe ))

"If it helps, I don't have a medical degree." A tilt of the head, a mask-covered incline that passes for a smile. The gentle familiarity of it is enough to conjure the image of crinkled eyes and quirked lips, even despite that mysterious veil. Here is someone who knows well the weight their presence exerts on surrounding reality; here is someone whose presence exerts weight on reality at all. "Seems they'll hand out a PhD to just anyone, these days. I might as well take the opportunity to go by Doctor, don't you agree?"

Reyana can feel the absolute pressure they exude upon this reflection. The very ground she has stepped foot upon may as well be called their own. An outlier among the glass. "You humor me, 'Doctor'." she replies, doing them a little curtsy out of respect.

"I've seen many a reflection where the doctor stays behind in the ranks, some protected by law and some forsaken by it. But you? You're an entirely different one from every single one I've seen. A surgeon who makes the most precise cuts in the chaos unfolding."

"Ah, it's all just chess with a few more steps." A wave of a hand, as if he could physically deflect a compliment.

Despite the hustle and bustle of the temporary base around them, ongoing construction near newly-terraformed grasslands, the atmosphere of their surroundings is refreshingly tranquil. Here, a field of flowers; there, the sound of a river; in the distance, the churning of Originium machinery, the promise of a stable future. The Doctor lifts an arm, extending an invitation open-palmed. "But I doubt royalty from another world is dropping by for the sole purpose of giving me compliments. Surely you're here on more pressing business? Come, walk with me."

I keep telling Closure I have enough on my plate lately with landship restructuring and ongoing negotiations with AEgir, but she's been making the Trials simulations regardless. ...I wonder if putting them together is more stress relief for her than it is practice for me, at this point.

my experience being a new player in Arknights

The Predecessors in Arknights being presented as the dangerous ancient gods of Terra while literally just being the original regular humans is cool because their identities as both forgotten legends and Just Regular Scientist blur in a way that can hit very hard when you finally touch the person underneath.

Friston as the ancient god sealed under the earth who ultimately was just a very lonely dude drowning in despair. The sleeping gods in the sarcophagi having no hope to awaken, just the powerless remnants of a civilization that tried whatever it could to see the next day. Oracle, the creator, ultimately just a quirky little nerd who wanted to help others. And Priestess, the evil goddess bringing about the doom of humanity, warping creation beyond recognition and trying to make the creator fall to her side, who's also just their manipulative toxic ex.

The chances of spotting me doing the "ramen thing" have shot directly through the Starpod as of earlier today, by the way. It's always Contingency Contract seasons that leave me so little time to eat I can't even be bothered to sit down.
