Sometimes I light that candle,
and forget about it.
It warms me enough, sure,
It has a familiar scent; pleasant
But when it dwindles, I think of nothing.

“Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.”
— Lao Tzu
In this light, in that light, I am neither.
But one role to be played,
by a shadow before noontime.
In light, stealing ownership from shape
That is my true name
Just give me Prose
I want to sail tumultuous seas with Nietzsche
And weep with a man named Poe
I want to sink 20,000 leagues below With Verne, And announce “lesson learned” With Thoreau,
I’d like to phase shift into dreams with Murakami
(To which Lovecraft would find apropos )
I’d surely find myself slipping indefinitely
Into Borges’ invisible library
And where does this side walk end? Maybe Silverstein will know!
Fate whispers to the Warrior “you cannot withstand the storm”, the warrior whispers back, “I am the Storm.”
Keen yet unaware of this Universe we share.
A note on “Yearning” To yearn for someone, thing, place - is a beautiful torture. To yearn is to lean on the tooth that punctures time. To yearn is the wind And the mind a revolving door of You, The Mundane, and You. .

Get your infinite food exploit out of here you cheater. People like you ruin the survival horror experience.
You are milk & honey, peaches, and mango nectar. You are soft raindrops and the ring of the high notes on a piano. You are dawn glow and the sun-dusted mid-afternoon moon on a clear day. You are turqoise sea water, dew drops on frost-bitten grass and the sparkle of new snow. How dare you let anyone treat you like dirt.
And even if they do, remind them that dirt is what helps things grow, and create life and beauty and nature. Dirt is what supports the world we live on. Dirt has the most amazing potential to flourish and build the most beautiful things.
Beautiful
A human being could be alive for years and years, thinking and breathing and eating, full of a million worries and feelings and thoughts, taking up space in the world, and then, in an instant, become absent, invisible.
Jhumpa Lahiri, Unaccustomed Earth (via quotespile)
You grow ravenous. You run fevers. You know exhilarations. You can’t sleep at night, because your beast-creature ideas want out and turn you in your bed. It is a grand way to live.
Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of Writing (via quotespile)
