We never really realize how old our parents actually are until they get sick and need us to care for them for a change. They're no longer the parents that can stand against wind and waves to keep us safe. Only then, do we realize our roles are switched and it's our turn to support them in the elder years.

When we're born our parents are our world, until we expand and explore do we widen our worlds. But, to our parents in that moment we become their whole world until their last breath. Treat them kind and treat them well.

As they sit on the bench by the river where the sun is setting. Noticing he is staring at her she turns her head and asks “what are you thinking?” With that he replies “I think I’m falling in love again” as he slowly brings his hand up to her face to remove a piece of hair that has fallen out of place. Looking into his eyes she gives him one of the most beautiful smiles he adores so much. Thinking back on the decades upon decades they've spent together. She then adjusts her head to rest on his shoulder while she entwines their hand together. He talks about the sun and the moon. As she slips into an oblivion.
