COLDATOM MONTH

So. Since we didn’t have a coldatom week for few years (?) Now, and I know there are people looking forward to that, a few wonderful nonnies came up with the idea of coldatom month. Here are the themes:

Hi! Personally I don’t, but there are few people out there that do! Last time we got some request I send them over to @coldatomheadcanons who was active at that time, but I know they are a bit slower with stuff right now because of family issues. But if you didn’t try yet, I’m sure you could!

Just found this blog and wanted to tell you I really like it. I‘m always a little irresolute what to read next, and this already really helped me to find some beuautiful works, so thanks a lot! :D

Thank you! We kind of fell out of this, but we plan to return the moment we have a bit more time. There are so many wonderful stories that we managed to read in the meantime and really, they are amazing!

In which Ray is Mayor Snart's long suffering intern/personal assistant, and Leonard ends up on some pretty terrible dates.

My opinion: I was a bit confused when it comes to this one, because there are times when the characters feel spot on and then there are some moments that make it feel a bit weird. But then you remember that this is not your Earth, that you know close to nothing about these characters and... it was wonderful. 

The story is sweet, is funny and I was laughing at Len’s desperation. Also Lisa is wonderful. 

It’s not too long, so it makes a wonderful read if you don’t have that much time, and it’s not too short so you can still get consumed by the story :). And the dialogues are to die for.

Day Seven of Coldatom week!

My opinion: Long, long time ago, people went crazy about warm and fluffy feelings. This is something this story can certainly give you, even though it seems rather cold at the beginning :) You have Ray, you have Len and the way they interact with each other makes you smile, your face splitting in a warm grin. There are moments that I loved to bits, not going to spoil you guys but I loved Len in here. This story also took a bit... different view of Ray than I would’ve expected, or that I’ve seen a lot out there. It’s not anything big or really obvious, just for me personally it made me stop and think for a while, because it actually works really well. 

Sara is a gem. So, grab a blanket, hot cocoa, find someone to cuddle with - and yes, it can be that plushie that you’re hiding under your pillow - and read this. It’s really one of the wonderful reads.

My opinion: This is seriously cute. It’s short, and it makes you grin and snicker quietly and your imagination goes wild at the end. For short and cute, this is a great choice.

My opinion: This story has literally 87 words. I’m not joking, that’s the amount of words it has, and that’s exactly how many it needs to make you snicker and shake your head and go ‘oh, Raymond’. 

I usually don’t even read stories this short, but temptation proved to be a wonderful thing here. 

If you want something funny, cute and short, because you’re up for easy reading or you’re already half of the door and damn, that English homework is not gonna write itself, but a tiny bit of coldatom would do you good? You should go read this. You should go read this anyway, it won’t take you that long! :)

In which Ray and Leonard share their first kiss, their characters share their first kiss, and maybe a secret or two is revealed.

My opinion: This story is a little wonderful Actors AU. It’s not the first part of the series, you can read the first part here  but I’m going to rec this one, because I got to it first. 

This story mashes both the old-fashioned writing of fanfics with a hint of the modern way. You can see the tweets of the actors, you can see the little bits of how they are thinking, you can see what they are feeling. I’m not going to say too much, because I don’t want to spoil you guys, but this story is sweet and adorable.

If you ever wondered how Legends would fair in the world of reflectors and fame, this is the story for you :)

Summary: Len wakes up to a strong sense of wrong.

But he sweeps his eyes across the room, and finds nothing amiss.

My opinion: I was wondering which story to put here as first, and decided on this one. Why? It’s a story that can make you feel so much in such a short time that you’re not even sure where you’re standing anymore. The characters are beautifully portrayed and very believable, so you don’t feel like you’re reading about strangers. 

This story will take you on a journey that will have up and downs, one that will make you cry and the smile, one that will break your heart and then give you a hope of mending it. 

If you ever wanted to read something emotional, something warm and caring, then this is the right story for you. Be prepared though, the beginning is hard for your little heart. 

It’s still WIP, but the waiting for new chapters is damn worth it.
