"does  anyone  still  have  a  working  vhs  player?  how  does  anyone  watch  these?"  his  fingers  drifted  over  some  of  the  covers  of  the  taps  on  the  shelf  as  he  slowly  moved  down  the  aisle,  luke's  attention  on  reading  the  titles.  "alright,  i  know  this  is  probably  a  tired  question,  but..."

headed  over  to  the  dvd  section  soon,  where  he  might  actually  take  something  home,  his  curiosity  was  piqued  as  he  tried  to  decide  for  himself.  "what's  a  movie  you  could  watch  over  and  over  again  and  never  really  be  tired  of  it.  or,  maybe...  your  top  three?"

Cole had asked Luke to a movie night. The guy seemed chill, but everyone seemed nice on the surface. He had met Luke in passing while he was on site. Cole normally wouldn't try to make friends, but after a year of holing up it was about time he settled in. He wandered aimlessly through the store.

His thoughts wandered until Luke's question brought him back to the present. Cole thought about it as he stared at the back of another DVD, "I'd have to stay awake to even think of a movie I watch- no, no wait. I fuckin' forgot," He smiled, looking up at Luke. "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die. It's one of those trippy ass movies where everything- like full-blown chaos is happening. Kinda like that other movie..." Cole couldn't remember the movie. He started to snap his fingers in hopes it would jog his memory back. "It had that chick. Jamie Lee Curtis and that kid-dude from Indiana Jones!"

"Either way, fun movie. I recommend that. What about you?" He asked. "How many movies we pickin'? I'm thinking one each. I got enough drinks to last us the night."

Her plate was decimated, her expression bored, and happy hour winding down, so it was really no surprise when Elaine leaned over the counter to swipe a pickled habanero pepper from an open jar. "Five bucks says you can't stomach it," she challenged, orange pepper dangling by the stem, pinched between her thumb and index finger.

Cole was teetering on that line of tipsy and drunk. He knew he was going to have to leave his car behind. Cole had been watching the girl to his left. She was the source of his amusement for the night. Cole took a drink of his beer and pinched the habanero pepper. He wasn't sure what was making his nose turn, the pickle or the pepper. "Easy, but I'm not doing it alone." He slurred with a wicked grin. "You have to eat it too. 10 bucks you can eat it and not drink water."

Cole had frequented the place a few times. It was always with his coworkers. They thought it was a fun way to knock back a few brews with live music. As he stood at the entrance, he had a sudden case of cold feet. Cole cast an unsure face at the stranger as he continued to size up the entrance like it was a giant. "You know what... I'm in. It beats showing up with my dick out," He breathed out. Cole offered his hand out to shake. "The name's Cole, boss. You stick by me for the second round, and I got it covered." He nudged his head to go in.
