Here’s one of the last videos I got of the painting process, added a few larger stars manually before going in with my normal technique for the small ones (whipping the brush against my arm, it works)
Consider your character stuck in the cold and maybe hypothermia maybe freezing and the only one who can rescue them is someone they fear, and the rescuer has no clue
[looking at people younger than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at people older than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at myself] its over
top 3 hobbies for young adults:
1. borrowing misery from future
2. carrying grief of the past
3. agonizing over the present
@moethh don't hide this in the tags
"it's just stress" oh thank god, it's just the silent killer that slowly kills you, perfectly harmless, no need to worry
So I haven’t kept up on my posting over here 😅 said I would. Really bad at social media tbh.
I’ve finished my Koi painting though! Just gonna let her sit and dry a while before sealing and framing.
Just like last summer, I'm making an effort to get out and about and do stuff locally. I've lived in Detroit for two years now and feel like I've seen so little and know so little about the area, so in the spring and summer 1 am out and about and doing stuff.
That and if you let me I will become a full on hermit if I don't leave the house. It's a problem.
This isnt the first time I've been to the DIA, they often have different exhibitions going on so l try to go whenever I can. As for the art, this isn't even all of it, there were many wonderful exhibits with gorgeous history, they had a few different exhibitions going on, such as Reimagine African American Art, Cotopaxi, and Highlights from the Modern Collection.
I really enjoyed my time there, and cannot recommend it enough. Especially because it's free for some residents of specific Michigan counties! I also grabbed some stuff from the gift shop on my way out, so look out for that!
We spent a good three hours walking around and didn't even get all three floors. I did however get a cupcake and a jasmine green tea while there and that was lovely!
call me OSHA the way i’m demanding a railing
Are you available for commission?
Thank you for asking, but I do not do commissions. There are a few things I’m still learning, so I only sell prints on my Fine Art America page or pieces I’ve finished and framed.
I really like working through the Seven Deadly series but I feel like way too many people get hung up about the whole sin aspect of it that it’s hard to actually talk about them, because I have to go over the same “no I’m not glorifying the sin this is a commentary on what it means,” always followed by “it means your sinner”
I don’t even follow your religion leave me be 😫😖
I have been haunted by the thoughts of balance and sin and redemption since I initially learned about Abrahamic religions and their teachings (lucky enough to not grow up in the church) and it always tickled me how the use of sin was only ever explored in over indulgence.
But what about under?
What happens when you have no trace of lust? No trace of wrath? Pride? Envy? Gluttony? Sloth? Greed?
I would say the sin isn’t limited to over indulgence but also under, which means there’s more of a balance to redemption than a sense of rejection.
🥲 I just find this to be such an interesting concept that tugs at my mind and really makes me think about the ways we try to apply these patterns of thinking to others and their own lives.
More art
I think people would be less suicidal if they were allowed to talk about being suicidal without risk of being sent to the Torture Dungeon

Hey everyone how's it going
“Ghosts are real” I can see how you could believe that
“Ghosts aren’t real” it’s very fair and rational that you believe that
“Ghosts aren’t real anymore” I’m about to hear a poem or very sad story
“Ghosts aren’t real yet” the fuck are you going to do
