guys I swear im putting out new stuff soon, I just hit extreme writers block!!! i have some drafts that i need to finish that should be out before next week is over ;)

I rescued a frog from a snake yesterday

Not even an unhinged jaw could envelop the breadth of the amphibian

Terror pulsing their throat, legs dripping with near-consumption

It left the snake coiled in the shade of its own resentment

In the banal morning

I found the frog

Splayed across the rock

Flies buzzing around the eyes

Did the snake come back, fail to finish the job?

Or did I just make an inevitable death meaningless in it all?

Mercy is Dead's eBook is definitely imperfect. In fact, it's probably going to be messy. But oh my gosh. It's finally going to be published.

My work is far from over, though. I want Mercy is Dead to be as accessible as possible for readers. So far, Barnes & Noble Press is the only platform it'll available on, but I'd like it to be available in more places once it's out on October 16th. I want it in eBook libraries. I want there to be print copies too, someday! In fact, I already have been making prototypes for a paperback...

Please send me suggestions on where to make the eBook available. Whatever you send, I'll do my best to get it there with the resources I have

After 3 years of writing, about 1 and a half of navigating the hell of self publishing, and dumping a good amount of money into it... it's finally gonna be out there. On sale, for real money. (Not a lot, but that's a good thing.)

Mercy is Dead is about a person I met 4 years ago that changed the trajectory of my life forever. Whether it was in a good or bad way, I'm not sure. Weird thing to say about someone who traumatized you, but I mean that seriously.

The countless panic attacks and year of reoccurring nightmares aside, I have to attribute a good portion of my growth to that experience. That was the first time it occurred to me that I needed to validate my own traumatic experiences, regardless of what the people around me said. That experience taught me that the only one who had to understand my feelings was me, and that those feelings were valid without the reassurance of others. Without it, I don't know where I would be.

Mercy is Dead was a piece I made while working deeply with this struggle to accept myself. I played with what I was afraid of becoming, what I was afraid I already was, and how to save room for myself in my heart.

To be able to share such a vulnerable product with the world-- even if only, like, 2 people ever read it-- is a privilege I am beyond grateful to have. It feels like a miracle, even though I worked so hard for it.

Thank you all for being here on this journey with me. You are a huge part of what motivates me to keep creating and keep sharing, in spite of everything. It means the world.
