🥔 - What’s the dumbest mistake you’ve made in rp?

Going counter to my muse’s character (Elle or other muses) for the sake of having someone to RP with. Not only did it end up with my muses miserable, but it had the same effect on me.

My advice is, if someone only wants to RP with you as long as your muse 1) constantly agrees with theirs, 2) basically worships the ground their muse walks on, 3) is canon fodder for their muse’s story, or 4) is otherwise abused in some way that makes only the other player happy, leave now. Don’t wait until you’re so miserable you don’t want to RP at all, anymore. Because you’ll find, just as I did, that there are plenty of people out there just waiting to meet you and your muse.

On Yaevran? Probably his and Elle’s confession of love. A big leap for those two. Otherwise anytime they’re together and not stressing about anything is pretty sweet. Oh and when they were reunited was pretty sweet, too.

I usually steer clear of Munday asks. These seem pretty tame and focus on my OoC views on my muse and her dealings. So, why not?

🌲 How deeply does your OC feel? Are they typically empathetic or do they have a hard time connecting with others in this way? What are they like when offering support and comfort to someone they care for?

This is an interesting topic for ol’ Mr. Valentine. Yaevran carries himself as incredibly composed and stoic, his emotions very rarely coming to the surface in any fashion. As a result some people view him as distant, cold, even apathetic. He believes if someone can evoke an emotion from you, they can predict you and, by an extent, control you. This is just him on the surface. How deeply does he feel? Though the masses will never know, he feels very deeply. The best weapons are the ones that are hidden, even when used. Interpret that how you will. Are they typically empathetic or do they have a hard time connecting with others in this way? Well, he is very capable of empathy, but he is equally capable of completely separating his emotions from what needs to be done. If one does manage to form a connection with him, it is one that has taken a long time to make, and therefor is well earned. If people find him cold, blame those who have offered the hand of friendship while holding the knife of betrayal behind their back. He knows the sting of that blade, and he vows to never feel it again. What are they like when offering support and comfort to someone they care for? He will give you the best advice he feels that he can give, and he will do it readily. However, people need to understand, and those that he cares for typically do, he will be 100% honest with you. This means telling someone the truth even if it is not what they want to hear. Little white lies are still lies. When it comes to comforting someone he is the same way. He will only use the truth to comfort someone and not indulge them with pretty lies. He skips the band-aid and goes straight for the sutures, so to speak. Thanks for the ask Sola! Seeing people be kind and courteous to each other is something Yaevran enjoys. Reformed, well mannered, individuals who do not let vulgarity be their personality are always a refreshing sight for him. Kindness was something he lacked seeing in others from an early age, so he treasures it when it occurs in public.

Yaevran likes to invest his time into things. His hobbies produce a benefit of some sort. He might do anything from work on his weapons and tools, keeping them in peak condition or see if he can improve them. Sometimes he might read a book, but it would more than likely be a book that is educational instead of one that is fictional or tells a story. Although he has not done so in a long time, he likes to play the piano. If none of those sound appealing or appropriate, relaxing with @ellwelune always helps put him at ease. Well, sometimes. :^)
