(My fitblr is michelleruns.tumblr.com, the link is above, I cant follow you with that blog :( ) The tragedy of the commons is a dilemma arising from the situation in which multiple individuals, acting independently and rationally consulting their own self-interest, will ultimately deplete a shared limited resource even when it is clear that it is not in anyone's long-term interest for this to happen. Follow along as we delve into the 'politiqueria' of this world and how we will slowly but surely deplete this worlds share limited intelligence. These past two weeks have given me the opportunity to reflect.  Training for this marathon has become my number 1 priority.  Running makes me happy, when I don’t run, when I am not racing, I feel that there is something missing.  Therefore, I have revamped my marathon training and have filled it up with races.  Its definitely going to be a summer of road trips and racing!

LAST October, I won the Nobel Prize in economics for my work on unemployment and the labor market. But I am unqualified to serve on the board of the Federal Reserve — at least according to the Republican senators who have blocked my nomination. How can this be?

Oh no! That's horrible and not island like at all!  Cockfights are very scary and cruel if you ask me, I dont like them at all.  Just an fyi, PR is hot outside but its air conditioned eveywhere, so fear not! If the reception and all other things are indoors, then you shouldn't have a problem.  Must suck being a guy, girls can get away with dresses.

Unbelievable Boston marathon finishes

US woman Desiree Davila came in second and broke her PR by 4 minutes.  First two men broke the WORLD record, impressive as hell.  First time this has happened on the Boston marathon course since 1947.

So excited to pick up my shirt and bib for tomorrows 5k.  Later on I have to run the 8 miles I had scheduled for tomorrow but what the heck, being around such coolness bypasses all the sadness of having to head out and wear myself out before tomorrows epic 5k.

Planned Parenthood and Choice

I am not going to take any side on this topic in the public eye, but I just want to have you observe the people present in this picture and some obvious problems in logic.

Bunch of dudes - Seriously, abortion is about a woman's choice to bring a child into the world.  If you are a dude, you don't have to go through labor and you can bail at any moment leaving said woman alone and caring for your child.  Although your opinion is valued, I would like to see more women in this anti-abortion picture.

Old dude - Your time is done, let the young people have their say on how they want their country to be run, you've had your time.

Two ugly chicks - I am definitely being subjective in categorizing the two women as ugly, but I cant even tell if the one on the back is a woman so I think its a fair assumption. I think these are the worst of all.  Planned Parenthood is not just about abortion (the funds from the government aren't used for abortion) they provide, birth control, vaginal exams, gynecological services, counselling, family planning services, STD and AIDS testing for MEN as well as women.  I used their services all throughout college and not necessarily to get abortions on a monthly basis. Why would you want to decrease your access to these services? Blows my mind. Ignorance is bliss, eh?

If you are for banning abortion, you are forcing women to proceed with unwanted pregnancies without guaranteeing support in their strife.  I don't see any Senator against abortion lobbying to increase the number of funds to foster homes and child services.  Who will take care of these children? Republicans?  Will they be willing to adopt and raise the thousands of unwanted babies that they refuse women to abort?  I am a working professional in my early twenties, I make a decent living.  With all my college loans and living expenses I don't see how I could afford a baby until well into my thirties.  Then again I care about the kind of life I give my kid.  Maybe that's the difference.

The only way a policy like this can work is if alternatives are provided, dont tell me how to live my life, I will surely oppose.  If anything I am definitely pro-choice.  Take away my choice take away my freedom.

Finally!!!!!!! For years I have been getting spam email from my super Republican, Glenn Beck loving grandfather (to be fair I dont hold his right sidedness against him, he cant help it, hes old and retired and well Republican are old too and they look out for each other) with YouTube videos, testimony, you name it, trying to prove or at least convince people to believe that our lovely President was born in the bowels of Africa.

Seriously, if he wasn't an American citizen to all the required standards, wouldn't somebody have found out before he started his political career?  When I got my current job I wasn't stripped search out of pure luck, I think my parents were interviewed.  And I am the whitest looking Puerto Rican you will EVER see.  Poor Obama and his mama for loving a Kenyan dude, thats what you get in America, thats what you get in America.  Seriously though, if the Republicans were so concerned about the origin of its Presidents they should stipulate that only decendants from the original Mayflower can be President, after all, those the only REAL Americans.

If in fact Obama was indeed NOT an American citizen, shouldn't we concetrate on improving the hiring system within the government, after all, they failed to verify his citizenship all the years he was working in office (during the Bush era mind you) and just now its a problem.  Boy, we need internal reform thats what we need.

Im am extremely happy they are giving up all this nonsense once and for all, and moving on to more important things like the poor.  I wonder if Republicans secretly hate the fact that Romney is a mormon but dont say anything because its racist?  All the things to ponder, so little time.
