OMSPs - Because more is always better

Today you get a very low key upload of me sharing something I made for myself and that I wasn't planning to share but a couple of people asked me so you guys get them anyway!

Half step purple OMSPs

An add on for the 10-step set by SilentLucidity that gives an additional option between each step, introducing 1.5, 2.5 and so on. I can't stand floating and I can see it very well from all angles, so I really needed a little more precisions than the original set gives. If you too find yourself sometimes wishing you had a middle step, then here you are.

Ground level counter OMSP

Three OMSP's that take counter-objects like small appliances, all starting at ground level. Sometimes I want to place appliances on shelves, implying that your Sim has to go fetch it before using it (because who has all their appliances out? Not me), but previously I was limited to shelves above counter height and sometimes I don't want that. So I made OMSPs that start at the ground, giving the entire spectrum of height.

Two are purely decorative, appliances placed on these will stop working because the code verifies if they are in a counter and these are regular omsps. One is based on Lamare's counter OMSP, which keeps the appliances functional but the animations will look bonk. That one goes invisible in live mode, the regular omsps must be recolored manually. Both are compatible with rotator omsps for nicely unorganized visuals.

Gallery Art Prints on Artig

Making the framed Artig add-ons left me with an urge to fill all my builds with curated print walls. The only problem was that I didn't have nearly enough prints (lies), so...

Here are 80 mix-and-matchable prints on Artig. I collected most of them from Desenio, and also threw in a few I had saved for later use. Some of the prints had readable text so I turned those into Simlish.

Johnny Gnome Recolors + Default

I've updated my Johnny Gnome default replacement to use Sugar Rush 12 for the frame, and created a bunch of additional recolors using @maruti-bitamin's beautiful art (I have several prints in my IRL home, too!) and frame recolors in the full spectrum of Sugar Rush colors.

The default uses marutibitamin01 and SugarRush12, so you can delete those to avoid repeat swatches. You need hafiseazale's CEP Extras to recolor the frame separately.

Downhill Snowmanning Default + Recolors

More amazing @maruti-bitamin art to adorn your Sims 2 walls! This time as recolors of Downhill Snowmanning. You can also use the first one as a default replacement (just remember to delete the first recolor if you use both).

I found these recolors on Slig's DW blog, but they were only available as a default replacement, and I like the originals made by Maxis.

So I extracted the textures and made 3 custom recolors of the "Empeerical" Art Window, from Base Game. Frame and glass are separate subsets.

Outdoor Gym set | Fitness trail and exercise bike Popping in for another long-due upload! This is a mini set of outdoor gym equipment, including a fitness trail cloned from the obstacle course career reward, and an exercise bike. Both use the AL monkey bar textures, and I made 4 custom recolors. More details and download at MTS or SFS (personal rambling under the cut)

I'm still trying to keep up with the community and lurking around here but it's been more difficult to play and make progress on my projects lately, juggling between work, my computer showing signs of age, and personal life in general being pretty rough lately... I'm planning to switch to Linux on my laptop in hopes of (among other reasons) prolonging its life by a few more years but I'm stuck on installation problems. And in the longer run I need to prepare to buy a new computer anyway, pretty daunting task tbh. Anyway, I have other stuff in the works that I hope to share before the end of the year at least!

No Sheen On Wrought Iron Stairs

I always wondered why these iron stairs (with kinda old rusty texture) were shiny. This fake blueish shine was so irritating 😣 Need to fix it!

So here it is - a tiny TXMT fix that gets rid of fake plasticky sheen on wrought iron stairs.

28 recolors of just the top part (subset) of Psychedelic SimAtri Coffee Table aka tablecoffeegroovy that came with University.

I have recolored it before but I thought that this would be a great canvas for some funky recolors.

I am especially fond of the wood 'quad' colors. I found a foldable coffee table at a garage sale a few years ago that looks like that.

2x4 and 4x2 Sims 2 Lot Downloads

2x4 and 4x2 Sims 2 lots that I have built for the game over the years. This is my backup page since Tumblr seems to have issues with my main page.

I’ve run these homes through the Lot Compressor so any random references to sims that aren’t there should be removed. I have also run these lots through the Lot Cleaner to remove any bits of buggy code. These lots also come with a shiny custom thumbnail so they have even more curb appeal in your Lots and Houses bin! 😄

These homes have only a couple of pieces of CC, which you may already have in your game. These can easily be replaced or omitted if you don’t want them though.

Project Folder Cleanout: Part 2

This one had been sitting unfinished since 2019!

MogHughson’s Job Board in Simlish

The original textures said “Jobs on Offer” in English and Greek Letter Simlish, so I decided to spiff them up a bit. Four new textures; 2 using the original blue background, and 2 corkboards, both with new Simlish text that reads “Jobs On Offer” or “Help Wanted”. The little cards collided with the frame in some spots, so I moved them around a bit. I also made a black recolor for the frame.

Since I only use Simlish in my game, I made an edited version of the mesh that uses my new Simlish recolors. I also made a new texture for the blue frame, because the original looked pixely and had some weird blurry spots. It originally sorted in Deco/Misc, but now sorts in General/Misc. This version has 2 corkboard recolors + the black frame.

I have also included an edited version that is re-sorted and has the new blue frame, but keeps the original English textures. This version has all 4 recolors + the black frame. Both versions are included, be sure to choose only one, as they will conflict!

I have also renamed the mesh file. If you have the original (jobs-noticeboard-Mog-20081011.package) in your game, be sure to delete it before using my edited version.
