I haven’t written in so long, but it’s basically just average butchlander. Unrequited obsession love :)
Homelander who’s legit done everything to get Butcher’s attention. Like he meets this big, strong, hairy man at a Christmas event, and god he has an accent.
And Homelander obvi would be internally homophobic. Have you seen this man’s suit? (Have you seen season 5?!) Anyways, he shoves everything down and comes to the conclusion that Becca is better than nothing. I mean, she smells like Butcher, close enough.
Then he realizes Butcher is now angry at him over his wife, cause Becca’s missing. While Homelander would prefer praise, this whole undying rage is pretty cute. Watching a human do anything in their power to try and kill him: a supe. It’s honestly adorable, any attention is good attention.
He wants everything, he wants to know everything. So he gets cameras, microphones, hired people to watch his man.
In his free time he just goes through audios of Butcher saying his name. Goes through the photos his hired stalkers take and has a special folder on his laptop dedicated to his human, Billy Butcher.
Sure, everyone is vaguely aware of it, but the only person who truly understands Homelander’s passion for Butcher is Stilwell. So when she’s tied up by Butcher and Butcher has the bomb, the blonde has to shut her up before she says anything.
Homelander just loves Butcher so much. He would never say it’s love, but he’s killed and is willing to do so much for the human. One day Butcher’ll feel the same. He just wishes it could be today.
